If you don't buy your exotics from xur, you're basically a welfare bum
RNG is the welfare of Destiny, RNG is a free hand out, it's the loot equivalent of a food bank.
If I get an exotic drop I immediately delete it and feel disgusted with myself.

Legendary engrams are surprisingly hard to find, when you kill Atheon, you -blam!-ing just killed Atheon, you'd better be getting something. (Not that you'd know too much about that it seems.) I dabble in Xur's wares, but I can honestly say Legendary weapons are even harder to find and acquire than Exotics (with the exception of Raid legends & Iron Banner, save for maybe Jolder's Hammer and Gheleon's Demise.)
