Titan Fist of Havoc..

is not a panic button (takes skill)

Fist of Havoc is a titan players panic button. Predominantly used when someone gets the jump on them or they're losing a fire fight. Discuss. (Edit): some good arguments coming out here guys. Both for and against. (Edit): I'm not saying FoH is OP or should be nerfed in any way. Just trying to get a discourse going fellas, (and ladies). (Edit): 200+ posts and opinion is literally divided down the middle. Some have been calling for a third option of "It's both" I feel inclusion of that option would defeat the purpose of this confabulation. (Edit): 300+ posts. Still 50/50. This is proving to be a very divisive subject indeed.

  • There are only two occasions where I pop FoH. I see a group of 3 or more gathered together or I see someone pop radiance, blade dancer, gunslinger, or a bubble shield on an objective. If you "panic" super, you're hurting your team more than the enemy by not maximizing it's potential. Same for Nova-kamahamaha-Bomb

  • Can we make a post about void walkers using nova bomb as a panic against one guy?

  • I honestly don't understand why it matters. Why are you getting butthurt if some people use it as a panic button? Anyone who wastes their super as a panic button/on 1 person, unless they're protecting something by themselves, is bad. If they're stupid enough to waste it as a panic button on you, just lol@them and be glad they didn't actually use it at an opportune moment, like when 3+ of you are gathered trying to cap or point or getting heavy ammo. A well-timed super has the potential to be game-changing. You're complaining about someone using their super as a panic button against 1 person, for 1 kill, when you have Bladedancers running around getting 3+ kills per super with ease, with anywhere from 2-4 supers per game. Do the math.

  • Some people use it as a panic button, some people don't. What annoys me more is the warlock grenade that tracks me no matter how far I run...

  • Panic if it's used on one person.

    • Should be adjusted so it can't kill through walls and people 30 feet up in the air.

The people that use it on just one guy because they have it are using it as a panic button. However, it should only be used as a counter or a game changer. Counter: There are only 2 supers that need countered, the defender bubble (only if they're holding a point) and blade dancer. Defender because you can't rely on the randoms in your team to know that running into bubble that, depending on what helmet they're wearing, could potentially be a stupid idea. You need to make sure that FoH lands inside WoD, or else you're just taking down the bubble, and not the players. Blade Dancer because its super is the most feared in the game. A well placed one can wipe out a whole team that isnt even in the same area. FoH will shut it down and stop a potentially devastating super. Game changer: Let's say your team is down, but not terribly down (500-1000 points). You see the opposing team capping a point and you can see that there are more than a couple by the speed the point is being capped. If you've got Helm of Inmost Light, then you've just have to get the high ground, jump towards an opening, and point your cursor to a place that will give max carnage. That right there is why a well played titan is such a pain to do deal with. With that helmet, you almost never need the extra defense while using it (if you think about it, it frees up 3 slots instead of just 2). They can instead use Juggernaut (shotgun) which can take a non-super OHKO (up-close shotgun blast/sniper rifle headshot) off the table. They could also use the infamous Shoulder Charge, which is a totally different thread. One could argue that Warlocks do the same thing. I'd argue that they do a similar thing. Warlock nukes point A and, if there are any, picks off survivors from mid range. Titans literally can play Titan Fall. Imagine your capping Point B on Twilight Gap. It's you and 4 other team mates, your behind the wall closest to point A, meanwhile you hear your team mate on the otherside say, "Shit". Everyone on point B knows what's going to happen. "Titan Fall Incoming" The Titan is either quoting that or laughing. He drops and wipes out 4 of your team mates, you were smart enough to get a safe distance away. However, he's got a shotgun and really doesn't like survivors. TL;DR- Devastating at best, cheap at worst.
I would like to point out that I am a Titan and it is the only class I've played past 20. That being said I have used it as a panic button, not consistently, but usually when a loss is imminent and I might as well use it before the match is over.
If I hear any super activate like ArcBlade or Radiance and I choose to enter that room and then lose the fight it was my mistake as I could have ran for my life instead or maybe went for the heavy ammo. When I start fighting a Titan and I begin to win or he loses track of me and he just Fist of Panics with no activation time killing anyone within ten feet it feels cheap. Nuke suppers aren't OP they are just cheap and require zero skill on the part of the user and Fist of Panic is the worst of them. People can continue to play Striker Titans and I will just continue to look down on them when I see them in the crucible.

        • It can be used as a panic button yes. It can be used to cap positions. It can be used to save your life. It can be used to save a teammates life. What makes Nova Bomb, Golden Gun or Bladedancer not a panic button? I've come around corners and started to shoot at a warlock and NOVA. Same thing with Hunters. Everyone's super can be a panic button.

          • It's both. Sure, you have the option of using it in a panic. Sometimes I use it just to kill a single player that I particularly hate. However, if you're looking to kill multiple people with it then you're going to have to be sneaky and skillful at getting around.

            • It's a panic button when you use it to take out one guy because he got the jump on you. Instead why not take that death and save that super for when the opposing team is huddled up waiting for heavy to drop.

                • Either way they need to be adjusted, the height and radius is way to large imo, you should be able to kill them when there mid air also.

                    • depends on the user... I usually save it for 3+ in one spot...unlike some who've used supers on me alone

                      • Solved It can be used as a panic button for one kill. But it can also be used to aim and placed skillfully. You need to run close enough to the enemy to use it, which is very dangerous. Warlocks on the other hand can shoot their super into a crowd from afar.
