Cryptarch Level-Up Rewards
Does anyone actually get anything usable from levelling up the Cryptarch?
Everytime I level him up another level I get 2 blue engrams and every time they turn into level 16 blue gear pieces that can only be turned into the start of another 1k stack of mats. I'm level 29, cryptard is level 30 now so what the heck would I want with lvl 16 blue gear pieces?
As a suggestion, could we maybe make it so you can get a token every level up and 10 tokens can be turned in for something useful at least? So even if you don't get anything, you at least know you will be working towards something eventually.
And what is the design intention of that level up care package anyway? I don't get it, because right now it just feels like insult to injury all over again. I would maybe get it if they were higher level blue engrams because those could at least turn into a strange coin or mote of light. But then again, if that is one of design intention why not have it roll directly for strange coins/mote of lights.

Best thing I ever got was Heart of Praxic Fire for my Warlock from him. Got a legendary that went exotic, which was my first. Ever since then, I get a ton of rares, and a couple legendar's every so often.

I wish there were rewards for milestones… Like, level 10, then 25, 50, 100 and so on. I'm almost at Cryptarch 101, and have only seen [i]maybe[/i], 20 legendary engrams from the package since the patch. I was at ~30 before patch.

I just leveled up the cryptarch and got one decoherent and two legendary engrams. Decoherent was garbage so I dismantled but the legendaries were a sniper rifle and chest armor for a hunter (was my Titan character but vaulted it for my Hunter)

I got God of war shader yesterday, that's about as good as it's ever been. Maybe 1 legendary item once or twice. Nothing memorable.

He gave me Bloodpact and 2 Legendaries last time.

Bump. Also idc even care about the Cryptarch anymore. I only turn in engram's so I can get Weapon parts and Sapphire wire. I don't expect the bastard to give out anything good.

Must be your rng luck cause I get legendary engrams/weapons/armor and shaders from him often. Also it's not uncommon for him to turn a blue into a legendary item.

Never received anything useful! Pretty much a waste of time but I guess that's the point.

Not really anything usable, but the last 2 levels I have received 2 purple engrams and a few blues. Purples ended up being materials and class items, but it still gave me hope.

I got 2 legendary engrams once. Unfortunately it was pre patch and they both turned blue. I have managed to get some legendary armour for my alts that I'm still to level (warlock) and create (Titan).

Same, i one get blue engrams.. But if you are building up another character, they'll stay in rare gear until they are 20...which in my case is true and when my Hunter reached 20 yesterday, I already had legendary Hunter boots(unlocked by my warlock -_-) and I bought the gauntlets from xur last week so he's already level 24

2 RepliesBack before engrams and the cryptarch got patched you used to be almost guaranteed that ALL the engrams from his (it's in the title) legendary care package would be legendary, was so much better
