Halo MCC matchmaking seems to be working better since I applied the latest update. Achievements also seem to be working fine now.
However, People have said they're still having problems with parties and finding a game in certain playlists and are experiencing laggy games. Halo 2 Anniversary playlist works fine for me, I think other playlists will get more populated as the day goes on so therefore you should be able to get a game. I have yet to test parties since update.
If you are still having problems please post them here, I will re-post them over the weekend on waypoint and I will try to put a link to the forum on b.net.

I found a dozen games last night relatively fast. I think it's starting to get better.

Edited by Froobyx: 11/23/2014 1:26:37 PMHaven't tried the multiplayer again yet. Have only played one game but don't fancy sitting around for 10 minutes to find one. Will probably try again in a month or so.

Nothing changed. Matchmaking is still be run by paraplegic monkeys.
-
Before the patch it would take me 5 minutes to find a match (only h2a) now I can leave it searching for hours and get nothing.
-
Is it working yet? Earlier today and last night didn't Work at all for me. Kinda sucks. I was hoping to play over the weekend
-
Is anyone else still having issues finding a match in the Halo 2 anniversary playlist?
-
Played a few hours last night. Still split up our premade party. Still required frequent game resets. Avatars still don't work. UI still unstable. Network migration is death sentence. Host of other smaller graphical glitches.

Edited by Folk: 11/21/2014 6:01:21 PMI still experienced all the same problems after the 11/20 update • Uneven Games • Spilt Parties • UI bugs Forcing Resets • Games Still being played on P2P • Parties Breaking up when leaving matchmaking • Extended Search times I just received a refund this morning from MS for my digital purchase. I really want to play this game and enjoyed H2:A when I could get an even match. After the patch failed to address any of the issues listed, I decided I could buy something else and purchase MCC for cheaper when it actually works. For now I used that money to pick up GTAV. Is it still better to roll solo? Every time I teamed up with a friend I always ended up on the wrong team.
-
Still a long wait and if i get a game it is laggy or they're uneven teams.
-
I still go 1-2 hours between games, no improvement at all for me.
-
I haven't had any issues...
-
Did the game update while you were away or did you need to manually start?
The update didn't pop up for me last night and the multiplayer still wasn't working.
-
I actually had less luck with matchmaking AFTER the update. Just a little disappointed is all...
-
It didn't fix it you idiot.
-
Edited by The Pope 86: 11/21/2014 6:09:45 PMNo, it isn't. You are high, everyone at 343 is high. I WISH I WAS HIGH. at least all of that would be less painful. But it isn't. Biggest fail at launch, to date IMO.
-
There is little to no improvement. Solo seems to work half the time, you're lucky if it doesn't fail to connect you or crashes at game start. It still takes forever to connect to friends. If you back out your party still splits up. Campaign progress still buggy. A lot of what was in the patch notes was not even fixed, arguably made worse.
-
Patch doesn't seem to of made any difference to matchmaking for me. Disappointing :(
-
So unlike Battlefield 4 and the 20 odd patches that it required to get fixed, Halo only required 2 to work. Stop hating on 343i,
We shouldn't be praising developers that shipped a game which required post-launch patches in order for basic in-game systems to function properly. Whether it be DICE, 343i, Bungie, or anybody else. It's great they cracked down on it and got most bugs ironed out fairly quickly, but I don't think that means we can say that everything's fine.

I just spent 6 minutes looking for a game of btb before it crashed. I'll try again tomorrow.
