Can we have the Iron Banner for a bit longer than 7 days?
We had the Queen's Wrath for like 3 weeks, but the Iron Banner event has been repeatedly much more restricted in terms of the window of opportunity to play and get rewarded.
Unfortunately, there are those of us who have a job and can not play every day grinding out IB Ranks to obtain the awesome stuff. It would be nice if some of us were given an appropriate amount of time to get to Rank 5 and obtain the same goodies as those who seem able to play this thing 24/7.
Not to mention with the past few days on the One, just getting into an online game has been an absolute chore (thanks cloud servers...)

4 RepliesHonestly, I like that it's only one week. It's suppose to be limited time, which makes you want to play. I would literally feel less of an incentive to play as hard as I am if it was two weeks long just so that everyone could have the same iron banner gear. Two weeks or more would bring down the value placed on having Iron Banner gear. Also it's suppose to be an event. If the carnival came to your town for a month everyone would pretty much stop caring that it existed after the first weekend. I have a job, I'm in grad school, and I have a girlfriend and I still make time to play. I'm rank 3 right now and I am planning on at least getting to 4 by the end of the event for some gauntlets. Games should not be built to accommodate people who don't play them frequently. I don't think that all the kids in the league should get the big trophy just for participating. But that's just my opinion.

I've gotten two characters to rank 4 so far and I haven't even really been playing that much. Tempered Buff makes it pretty easy to rank up quickly and it gets stronger every day.

i hope they extend iron banner 3 weeks so atleast people will have a chance to have better gear or a whole set would be nice and be ready for dlc

This iron banner is so easy to level up its ridiculous. 1100 rep in a hour and a half. Last iron banner took around 6 hours for 600.

2 RepliesI like Iron Banner the way it is. I have to work a lot but still managed to get to level 5 and with the buffs and bounties. That's good considering I'm not very good at pvp in the first place. My only gripe is that I can't get all level 30 just by iron banner. Its hard for me to get enough folks together for Raids with my schedule.

I've had it worst, I was halfway to rank 4 on Sun and my internet just went down all of a sudden, which has never happened before. The technician told me it's going to be fixed Tuesday 4-6pm, so there's no way for me to get the gloves to reach level 30, really unexpected that this would EVER happen. If bungie were to extend it to 2 hours more I, we would really, really appreciate it.

I agree absolutely. With Thanksgiving happening this week we all will have much more time to play. Unless, of course, Bungie has something else lined up for Turkey Day.

12 RepliesThe whole point of IB is for the elite. If it went on too long people would max out the necessary rank [i](Rank 5)[/i] And it would get boring. To keep it fresh keep it as it is and bring it back each month with new add on's A week is hard that's why they've given us the boost to rank up quicker I'm not gonna have enough time to hit 5 But I should get to 3 before the weeks up to get what I need. 4-5 is just for those who want a new weapon shader or emblem. I've only played IB twice this week and I'm rank 2 1400/2400. So tomorrow I'll be rank 3 enough for the boots. Then I still have two days to keep ranking. Week is plenty.

It seems kind of weird to close this event out (arguably their best event since launch) so quickly, and just before the Thanksgiving holiday. I would love to play this thing for another week or two before the upcoming DLC.

I'd also like to see other gametypes added into iron banner. Skirmish would be wild.

I wouldn't mind the idea of a permanent playlist where level differences matter, and such. It could have better results than average crucible (is: iron banner gear from RNG), but the ability to buy that gear or weapons would have to come and go on an event-based schedule to keep things fair.

4 RepliesThe rewards aren't handouts. If you don't put in the time then you don't get the rewards. I go to school full time and still managed to get all of my characters to level four or higher. A half hour a day doing the bounties and you're done.

Full time student, work ~50 hrs a week. Just hit rank 5. With the buff they sell and the bounties, it's really not that hard. I averaged a level a day, took my time from 2-3 bc I wasn't too excited about grinding PvP. Gaming is just like any other hobby, if you want to do it, you'll find time. I know next quarter I'll be missing a few events bc I'll have my capstone class, no worries, just a game bro.

I wish it was a permanent playlist, but instead of it going away completely like it does now, the stuff you could buy went away but you could still get it through RNG
