I have spent many a time running friends through the Vault of Glass with no prospect of rewards other than a few spirit blooms from a certain chest and the satisfaction of helping a friend or clan member. So I say to you and to Bungie, why not add something extra to promote helping others out in the vault. My suggesting is simple, engrams. You could make it so that instead of raid drops you get engrams out of chest and boss fights. This is of course only after your first run through the vault in a given week. You will get at least one rare (blue), if not more, with the possibility of getting a legendary (purple). I feel like this is fair since there is no real guarantee that you will get something special from the engrams in question, but you have a chance at something. A chance, that's all we need. Give people a chance to get something worthwhile and they will jump at it. And if anything you will at least level up your cryptarch faster, which will give you more chances at getting good engrams from leveling up the cryptarch. Let me know what you all think of this idea, I believe that something as random as engrams could really bring something new to the raid and add a good reason to help others through something so tough. I actually came up with this idea after some random level 30 helped us do the raid on normal mode, something he would get nothing at all from doing. Yet he helped us, and during the Atheon fight at the end he got a legendary engram off a drop. Random I know, but what if it was incorporated into the game...think about it.
