RNGesus (partially) decoded

We all know that RNGesus works in mysterious ways. Although the Golden Age brought forests to Venus, and Light to darkness, it did not bring us any closer to understanding this mysterious prophet/messiah/God that the common tongue refers to as RNGesus. Yet, a group of Warlocks every bit as mysterious and cryptic as RNGesus himself (herself?) has been secretly studying the once-thought-destroyed Ishtar Scrolls for centuries. These Warlocks belong to a group known as the Speaker's Order, and if the rumors of a fireteam consisting of 2 Titans and a Hunter patrolling the outer system are true, the Warlocks of the Speaker's Order have finally made a remarkable breakthrough after tediously and painstakingly deciphering the Ishtar Scrolls. Based on just a few, newly decrypted key lines in the book of Praedeth, we now believe that before RNGesus blesses you with an exotic reward, he scans and takes records of the items currently equipped in your inventory as well as those stored in your vault. Only once he knows which items you already have, will he then bless you with an exotic. But the true breakthrough lies once the newly discovered Praedeth inscriptions are decoded using the cypher, "Post proelia praemia." What the Warlocks now believe to be true, is that after RNGesus has peered into your inventory and vault, he will only grant you an exotic that you already possess. Although preliminary data is still being collected, the cries of millions of guardians who only receive random exotics that they already own are rapidly lending support to this newly discovered theory. Furthermore, if said exotic was previously procured from a "frowned-upon" black market deal with Xūr (who's very presence is thought to be the cosmic antithesis of RNGesus - with Xūr, you know exactly which exotic you will get), the chances of RNGesus granting you the same exotic increases exponentially. Of course, even Xūr himself cannot promise you an item from an exotic engram, as the engrams themselves contain fractals of light harnessed in the Temple of Glass - a destroyed relic of a time long before ours that serves as the foundation of the Vault that stands today (although more speculation than evidence supports this theory). In short, you will ever only be randomly awarded exotics you already have. Although their very existence is still an intensely debated topic in the halls of the Tower, the Speaker's Order continues to try and reveal deeper and darker secrets of the Ishtar Scrolls. Even to this day, no-one can say where or when they meet. We're pretty sure that meetings never occur in the same location twice, and in keeping with RNGesus practices, the next location is always randomized. Yet, whispers circulate in the Tower that if any guardian circumstantially happens to come close to a meeting location, they are disconnected from the Destiny servers and returned to orbit, thus keeping the secret society's meetings veiled. No one knows for sure, not even Lord Tyrian himself... _Ohuigin
