Stated elsewhere are numerous threads on the fact that Pocket Infinity was over-nerfed. I did see it mentioned that there was a petition to have it buffed but haven't found it. However I just wanted to make a quick comment to the Devs that this weapon really needs an edge to it if we as the player base are going to consider equipping it. 3 rounds is simply not enough to have in a mag with an auto requirement. I know you gave us the speed reload, but half of the perk was that the weapon would have a chance to return missed shots to the mag itself. With only 3 rounds tho returning a round rarely happens. We either need a larger mag, or a higher percentage to return missed shots to the mag. Please take a second look at your nerfs with this weapon as I spent a long time upgrading it and I know a lot of other people did as well. That nerf was a huge sucker punch to all that took the time to upgrade this (potentially) sick weapon.
Thanks,
Living Will.

5 mag is all I'm asking. 3 mag reminds me of a common fusion and even then has more. Critical at times. Your game. Turning into garbage.
-
Dude. 3 automatic shots and chance to return to mag and keep firing if you miss? I can wipe out a whole team on B flag with it as it is. It does NOT need a buff. It's a secondary. Not a primary.
-
the pocket infinity was and is still OP. the range is absurd people kill eachother with it on sniper range, it charges way too fast as well. just my 2 cents....
-
The PI is perfectly fine as it is right now. I can use it quite well in PVP, and 3 in the clip is just right. Any more and it would be ridiculous unless they lowered the power of it and all other fusion rifles. What they need to focus on fixing is Pulse Rifles. Don't think there is a single use for them right now in PVP or PVE.

They Nerf anything these little 12 year olds start crying to their mommy's about
-
I don't think the PI needs any change. It's my weapon of choice on any situation, but I do recognize that it is unsttopable in PvP.
-
It's a fusion rifle... How can any fusion rifle possibly need to be buffed. I almost have this gun so I wouldn't care but -blam!-
-
They are.

If so what kind of buff?
-
Agreed! Also if they can just nerf any weapon anyone ever uses to kill me in any situation. But please do not nerf mine. Those are not OP, they obviously require skill. Even if we are using the same weapon theirs is OP and mine draws on my unimaginable talent. Also, if you don't mind nerfing Atheon, and the pratoreans.... they are mad, wicked OP as well.

It is called Pocket Infinity. I don't see how a chance of 3 shots returning is definition of infinity. Give it at least 5 rounds.
-
It's still a tier 1 PvE fusion rifle in my books. Don't knock it until you have maxed it out. The stability upgrade is way better than the enhanced battery. I've always used stability upgrade.
-
Speed up the reload. It's like -blam!-ing slow motion.
-
That is is still beast in pvp. I was constantly getting wrecked by that thing
-
Before I read I say this, Buff it strictly for PvE only people have wrecked teams with it in PvP plenty of times
-
7 exotics are comfirmed for buff these following weeks, pocket infinity is in there, no specific info on buff tho. Im out.

Edited by Psychosniper98: 11/21/2014 9:11:21 PMI see more pocket infinity in pvp than suros by far
-
Edited by Rogisgodlike: 11/19/2014 11:10:15 PMJudy delete the -blam!-ing thing and add it to the long list of useless exotics lol. That thing takes so long to charge you'd be dead three times over before you get a shot off.
-
Do it bungie! We need like 5-6 in a mag
-
It should get nerfed further not buffed.
-
Yeah becuase fusion rifles need any more help...
-
I got it today through the exotic bounty and was disappointed to see that I could walk to the shops and back by the time it charges up a round
-
also even though it isnt as good as it used to be after todays patch its rubbish. had just got it up to auto fire upgrade and they nerf it. its now worse than my legendary fusion rifle. would save time if they just went into my menu and deleted it for me, and swapped it with something else thats still useful, plan C maybe?
-
needs more nerfs reduce its mag to 1 as of right now its a solid OHKO on anything it hits needs its mag and damage halved and its charge time increased by 34%
-
The unintentional scope is garbage and the fire rate is too. seriously? 2 nerfs on this gun? revert back to the first nerf and increase charge rate and decrease reload time to balance it off.

Edited by PbWorks: 11/16/2014 3:03:41 AMI honestly feel like the 3 round burst is sufficient. However, the thing which really irks me is the damage falloff of the 2nd/3rd shots. Sure, this may not matter all that much in the Crucible, but it makes PI a foolish choice for PvE (poor damage per round). Many are quick to point out that other FRs give PI a run for its money, which is true, I think. But when we take away the ability to do full damage with all our shots, we take away the only thing that makes PI special, the full auto. Suddenly, other guns start looking far more attractive in this light. I only discovered this recently while doing some Nightfalls. I thought PI would be an interesting weapon to use, as it can pump 15 shots into a sponge, in only 1.5 seconds. Thats enough time to shoot and regain cover. It didn't take long to realize that I was losing a significant amount of damage on the 2nd/3rd shots. Waste of ammo, really. So, I guess it's only a Crucible noob blaster. Anyway, it'd be nice to have extra shots, but if Bungie is going to continue to reduce the damage done by each one, perhaps there are other ways we should explore buffing the PI.
