Why is a defensive play style important?

Quite often in Destiny's competitive multiplayer I, like some of you, find myself paired with those that do not understand or appreciate the concept of teamwork and strategy, which in turn leads to a large amount of unnecessary frustration. With that said, the corresponding video elaborates upon some of my personal experience within multiplayer and contains valuable advise for those that are less experienced and/or knowledgeable when it comes to teamwork, strategy and more specifically a defensive play style. So, for those of you that are interested feel free to checkout the link listed below. And for the rest of you, what are your thoughts and opinions on a defensive play style within Destiny's multiplayer? Let us know below. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAtZEnjzzjU

The radar sort of ruins sneak attacks and flanking. I quite hate it. Also, these maps have a lot of good area control spots. In fps games, it is easier to area control than run around looking for kills. That is my mentality. Take control for example. As long as control the B and C flag, you are guaranteed a win. Camp and defend the flags is usually easier than going out and looking for kills. Unless you are working as a team and fighting in groups of 3 then you can attack. But most of the time players are lonewolves in PvP. In games like battlefield and cod, I can easily go head to head against 3 players with guns alone. I can't do that in destiny. My weapons and grenades just do not dish out enough damage for that to happen. The only possible way to attack effectively is if you have your super charged up and full on heavy ammo. But most of the time, that is the not the case. Most of them it is just you going one vs one
