Hi everyone, I have this crazy idea... and it's hard to put it in the right words. So i just try and explain it the best i can. In destiny we are experiencing a civilization capable of space flight and colonizing other planets. We have sufficient power and all this advanced technology. It would be so cool, if we could get more... well, information about how this all works for a community of humans, awakened and androids. I mean, we did see the Wow-style halloween pumpkins and i am pretty sure that we will soon get to see xmas decorations everywhere. But what about the day i.e. that the robots were acknowledged into this society? Will there be a holiday for them celebrating their advancement, freedom and life? Mankind has always set dates to remember cultural achievements by. To manifest the pillars of their civilization. What about all the advancements that have led us to this awesome Type-1-society? I dunno, but it feels to me that "old rites" like religious or other holidays that we know today are just not appropriate in Destiny. To make players understand or get a feeling for a future society that is possible and could start today in our real lifes if we manage to change our thinking towards a global community. Destiny already has a lot of the mechanisms needed for this. For example regulating the Glimmer "income" to cap at a 25k maximum. Awesome. And it's not even a currency, more of a material to create what you need with. So really implementing an old-style trade system would be unlogical, because a society this advanced has long overcome the need for it. I just wished there were some more hints or stories (even if in Grimoire form) regarding how we got there. I could go on, but i fear that i cannot fully explain what i wish this game would be. Like a mix between Star Trek and Apocalypse now. I hope that maybe some of this makes sense to some people and would love to read what you think about it... even if you just call me crazy.
