Quick destiny 2 question

Now I know I may be jumping the gun here even asking something about the sequel to a game thatd barely been out for a decent amount of time. However, my question is does everyone think our characters Will be transferable to the next game or Will we have to start from scratch?

  • No, it's a continuation... Added planets, expanded areas on destiny 1 maps, higher level (36?)....

  • Ive read before that characters would follow your throughout all of destiny. So to continue to tell your story. despite all the other changes, this I think would remain otherwise that would be the final "-blam!- you" to the consumer and I imagine itd cause many people to quit.

    • probably why level progression is so bloody slow, so all the newbs on Destiny 15 Advanced Call of Medal Gears Solid can catch up with our level cap of 50 in the year 2020

      • If they dont transfer over than Destiny will probably lose a shit load of player, I know I wouldnt buy it if my character didnt transfer. The reason I thought (and still think) Destiny will be a great game is that its the only game that will be built upon for years to come on console. Having characters non transferable will just ruin that for me, Im really looking forward to having my characters for a long time, I want to build upon them for the next 10 years, not have to start them over every couple of years.

In a interview bungie said that you can transfer. It's up to you to trust bungie.

        • I believe that development of Destiny 2 is such an early state that nobody (even bungie) can say for sure... But I hope so.... my guardian isn't as unique to me as my dear WoW chars, but it would still suck to leave them behind for Destiny 2...

        • id be cool with starting over as long as all my gear and weapons transferred so its not that hard to build to lvl 20 but defiantly gonna want my gear when i hit lvl 20

        • I've heard that they will be transferable, but don't hold me to that.

          • I would hope so. Who will want to RE-build their Legend??? If they don't, I likely won't continue.
