Titan the neglected class

Bungie, why is the Titan class so neglected? It looks like a Titan, but it doesn't feel like a "war machine" at all! Titans are not allowed on the crucible, all you can see is ranger and warlock class every god damn time. "Fist of havoc is op, the defender's shield is op too and Titans have a huge armor" BITCH, PLEASE. Fist of havoc is one easy kill every once in a while if you don't get a last second deny by some shotgun camper, blade dancer means stacking kills like crazy every 2-3 minutes and warlock is clearly super sayan mode. The shield is completely useless, anyone can -blam!- you up even if you are in it, but the best joke is the Titan's armor. It's -blam!-ing terrible. Two body shots at long range by some lv 10 newbie with an auto rifle and you are DOWN. Even with legendary armor maxed out, fully upgraded red death and armamentarium or saint 14, my Titan is a big turkey that gets cooked every time. On the contrary, when I go to the crucible with my low lv non-stuffed warlock or ranger, Im always -blam!-ing everyone up! So let's say it for good : the Titan is NOT a war machine, it's GARBAGE. It's -blam!-ing CRAP. It can't run, can't resist, can't fight, you have to kiss the cheek of your opponent in hope of hitting him with the fist while Rangers are just teleporting to their foes and warlocks, well... Kamehameha at almost mid range... That's ridiculous. Shoulder charge isn't something you can rely on, you just run towards to your death. Bungie, I'm not asking for anything, I just suggest you to do your job properly Either you start considering people that really give a try to love their titansa and you balance the classes or you save your time and energy and get rid of the "Titan". EDIT : do not mention my k/d, it's not relevant as we are sharing accounts and platforms, I have the similar game time with both classes.

    • "Fist of Havoc is one easy kill once in a while..." That is in no part a fault of the Titan, that is contributed by you seeing the super as a panic button and not using it at opportune times.

A month ago I gut gud as I kept playing. My best game is 29 kills with 4.14 KD. You need to get a decent auto rifle, invective and a swarm heavy machine gun. Learn radar, know where heavy drops. Load your heavy machine gun and pop you bubble. Guys come in the die every time from heavy or invective. Aim for the head. Learn to sneak up on groups with fist of havoc, learn to use shoulder charge. I gun down blade dancers in super with my heavy machine gun 2 out of 3 times.

    • Titans arent underpowered. I do just as good on my titan as i do on my hunter, although i refuse to use blade dancer. Because im not a fan of easymode. Titans ARE a little more bland than i thought they would be. They do need a boost in the melee department. Our melee override has the shortest range, and a landed hit does little to nothing for us. Dumb. Dumb. Just dumb. I hope they lower shoulder charge to a 6 second recharge time (so i stop killing myself with it), and give our melee override a needed polish.

    • As a player who has all three classes I don't agree when it comes to striker class. The striker is a beast for sure get good with him and your the boss of the crucible. When it comes to the defender however it's a joke. That bubble is easily taken out and any super kills everyone inside. I don't think one super should kill another super. No blade dancer should get in my bubble and kill me. So the defenders super is negated by an offensive super. They should make the bubble impenetrable. Nobody should get in the bubble but teammates. Or let us at least shoot out of it. The defenders punch is by far the weakest of all!! So buff the defender not the striker.

So I have been playing Iron Banner since it came up with my Titan, and I have to say, I think it's the player that is garbage (no sarcasm or smart-ass ness)? I have been cleaning house all week with my Titan. Now, I have my matches where I don't do AS well, But I am usually at the top of the team for points, kills, K/D, etc. I love my Titan in Iron Banner.

    • TBH all the stats slightly help. I clearly notice the difference between the classes (even if it's small). The Titan is fine right now. If there was a change to be made I'd say make the bubble impervious to nova bomb and GG. Hunter has a close range special and long range. Warlock has a long range special and a performance boost with unlimited potential to generate orbs. Titan has a close range special and a shield that loses to all other supers. Each super can beat another in a rock paper scissor scenario except for the bubble. Might as well make the bubble live to its purpose of being the ultimate defense to range attacks but weak to close quarter supers

    • Titan is the best class, striker kills mobs easily with super, kills tougher opponent s with shoulder charge melee combo, the defender is so clutch against boss battles. Not to mention when your body armor perk is on everyone you melee kill drops an orb guaranteed. Send a flock of shanks at me now whole fire team has there super. Oh did I mention +35% weapon damage from bubble. Warlocks are good and versatile as well but hunters are useless against bosses just good at PvP

      • Most people are spending their time on this thread directly refuting the OP and not listening to what he's really trying to say. The titan is the black sheep in the guardian family. It seems few people are as passionate about their titans than any other character. Last I checked the titan was the least picked guardian by a wide margin, which is concerning because it's my only character. The rivalry existing between the classes seem cutesy on the hunter-warlock side of things, arguing over who used blink first. The feeling between titans and hunters is frustration and hatred. You'll commonly see it in threads, flame wars about how arc blade is overpowered and how titans panic FoH again and again. The defenders usually come together in a chorus of 'my ward of dawn is made of paper-mâché' but the only thing that's happened for their efforts is a nerf to agility, do I guess screw them. There's a lot to talk about, but people will just keep looking out for number one, I guess. Just remember to thank your titan for their assistance in overcoming that challenging task you wouldn't have done without their strength. Be out a weekly strike, or the vault of glass, remember they pull through for you even when you spit in their face.

        • each class has their disadvantages. I have been Shoulder charged a LOT in PvP and it's certainly one thing that's going for the class, plus the shield is essential for Times Vengeance during the Raid, or in any situation where we may need somewhere to retreat and regroup. you guys offer a sanctuary on the Battlefield! they also have the most satisfying Melee; I never get tired of that crunch when you KO a Dreg Rocky Balboa style! for the record I have a 23 Titan Defender, and love it!

        • When people ask me why I play the Titan class my response is simple. "It's the hardest class to play and I enjoy the challenge" That way I feel as if I'm getting my money's worth a lil bit. Lets face it... in PVE Titans are no help at all.... no armour boost, extra defence or anything to make us what it says on the tin.... Titans. In PVE all we got is ground pound... Warlocks and Hunters have better defensive options and recovery than Titans and their wearing pieces of cotton and cloth!!! ffs.... I mean a Warlock can start regeneration with a hit.... not a kill... just a hit that has mad range anyway.... Hunters can chuck knives... an Titans with the lowest defensive capabilities, regeneration, speed hell everything has a...... punch.... that needs to be real close to work. Hmmmm somethings a miss here.... I'm thinking they made Titans for one reason and one reason only, to look good..... am I right?! Rant over.... enjoy ur day/gaming peoples.... Titans, not you! Keep on fighting.... it's the hard road for you lot lol

          • Titans are a versatile class MORE than Hunters here's why - The Defender subclass is so useful in PvE such as raids & strikes, not having defenders in a raid hinders the whole team. - The Striker subclass is not as useful in PvE but it is in PvP, having the ability to wipe out the whole team in Control is amazing and it can really sway the match in your team's favor. All and all Titans are more for TEAM players, they are not all about slaying but they can get their hands dirty if they have to, and when they do... They can wipe out 2-4 people like nothing. Also Titans give back to their team with their supportive abilites, no other classes offer this. I love Titans (this is from a Hunter player) Hunters? Yea I get it, they are pretty amazing in PvP (It's almost unfair) but in PvE... It's a different Story. - Golden Gun is USELESS in higher level PvE - Blade Dancer is TRASH in Raids & strikes useless you want to get utterly destroyed by the enemies. - Hunters are built for PvP, nothing else, the only thing Hunters can do in raids is revive their team members nothing else, and I prefer it that way because It's fair.

I am dumbfounded at how many people play their one class, and proceed to claim other classes are superior. Switch classes, get back to me with the results. I promise you, Hunter is not OP. Nor is Warlock. As a Hunter, I, almost exclusively, get -blam!- and pillaged by Titans. Yet, Titans are constantly the ones crying for nerf. Meanwhile, the confident Warlocks ain't sayin shit. What other class do you get such opportunity to defend yourself from their Super than Hunter?? They don't just nuke an area. They have to run in your FoV giving you opportunity to kill them. Seriously, guys.. get better at PvP before you call for nerf.

Sir, I am sorry you are having so much trouble as a Titan. As a guy with Two Titans I can say I've seen my share of hearing my shoulder slam hit my opponent only to die via shotgun or getting blasted in only a few shots or not being able to get my Super off to clear a Control point. But... I will prefer this class over any other. We have awesome rocket boots that get us to where we need to go, hunters have to guess jump and warlocks "Mary Poppins" there way across the battlefield to die midair but our boots give us pure control over our jumping and flying and if timed correctly can get you out of harms way just as well as the other classes. In crucible I love sneaking up on people mid sprint and blast em with a shoulder tackle before they get a shot off, or from behind while they are attacking teammates, I've even had the INSANELY RARE opportunity to Fist of Havoc right into a group of five enemies and got a Slayer medal oh it was glorious!! So what if they complain that we have huge armor. Huge armor is SWEET. I'd much rather have a helm with crackling light out of it than three eyes or a Lord of the Ring Feather Helmet. Our armor is bristling with Grenades, Blades, and can hold the shader colors rather well. As for our class items, hunters have form fitting cloaks, locks have girly robes while we have Marks to protect our butts from the constant onlookers trying to get a peek at our epic Bums. Even my buds are glad to have a Titan on their team when we go raid or crucible. You might not feel like but I sure as balls do feel like a "War Machine" ripping to pieces everything on my war path. Hopefully you will too. Learn the strengths and weaknesses and take a grand look at just how awesome we are and you will see why locks and hunters keep crying over how OP they think we are. Every class will fail against the others in various scenarios. Its the people not willing to learn that drag the good parts of this game in the mud. And Titans to me are a good part of this game. I hope you'll see that

                  • I have played all six subclasses and it sounds like you are playing your Titan wrong. The shoulder charge is instant kill in PvP. Fist of Havoc is area effect instant kill in PvP. The shield can buff weapons or defenses of your teammates.
