Deej, friend, please if I may have a moment of your time.

So, I'm not too big on the PvP in this game, unless its the iron banner. I understand balancing but a level 4 shouldnt be able to one shot me at mid range with a white fusion rifle when my legendary armor is all maxed, but, back to my point. Why is there only one PvE vendor and 4 PvP vendors? Actually when the Iron Banner comes back it will be 5, which is unfair because PvP players will have a guaranteed path to level 30, while PvE players only have 6 chances a week at raid gear, most have less because they cant get past 28. My point is that PvP players are getting a great deal by being able to purchase gear, while PvE players get shafted by RNG. That isn't what I have come here to ask though, its just a mild concern of mine right now. What i have come here to really ask is, why are you so heavily focused on PvP? You have 4 PvP vendors and one PvE, why? I dont like the crucible that much, and i know others dont either. Also with the factions, why do they have the class items that make ALL rep gained go towards them? This is where it seems like you lean more towards the pvp. There is only a few sources of vanguard rep; strikes, bounties, and patrols. But with a faction class item on, you have twice as many bounties, strikes, crucible games, and patrols. All this means that ranking up a faction is significantly faster than ranking up the vanguard. Now this wouldnt be that bad if crucible marks werent such a pain to get, 2 for a loss, 3 for a win? Thats not a good incentive to play the crucible at all. Now instead of me just complaining about this, I actually have a few suggestions on how to hopefully make everyone happy. Stay with me on this, but what if the three factions (Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, Future War Cult) had a PvE section in their shop? Like you can buy certain weapons and armor with crucible marks, or choose from their PvE selection and pay with vanguard marks. Another idea ive been thinking is, what if after you reach rank 3 for a faction, you can now complete bounties for your faction? Stay with me on this, but instead of getting bonus exp. For completing the bounty, you would get faction specific coins which you can use to purchase perk re-rolling for their specific factions weapons, or even level 30 gear. The only reason I say level 30 gear is because all the higher levels look the same and its a shame really. With the faction specific bounties there could be 3 pvp and 3 pve, or 6 of each. They could give either 50, 75, or 100 faction rep only redeemable to that faction, so if you were wearing a Dead Orbit bond and turned in War Cult bounties you would get war cult rep. The bounties worth 50 would yield 2 faction marks, the 75 would be 3, and 100 would be 4. Now you know how the factions give you patrols? Lets say you do 5 of them, after 5 patrols for a faction you are at least rank 3 for, you will receive a package in the mail containing 2 marks. I hate to end this right here but im tired the only reason im up right now is because i had to take my wife to work. I look forward to hearing feedback from the community about this!

  • Some very good ideas. Great point about there being 5 pvp vendors when iron banner comes back too. As a mainly PVE player it does annoy me a bit. Hope we see more PVE content for the factions.
