Raid tips!

I'd like to share some of the tips and tricks I've learned doing the raid. First encounter: Praetorians and sync plates. You have to keep the praetorians off the sync plates. Everyone knows that. Void damage is a given, so anything that does void damage should be used to take out there shields quickly. Then take off there head, they will become enraged and can be lured away from the sync plate. Using heavy weapons is always a good idea when dealing with praetorians. Second encounter: Confluxs and oracles. Always have someone near the conflux to stop them from sacrificing It's relatively straight forward just keep the enemies away. There are three stages of confluxs. 1 conflux, 2 confluxs, and 3 confluxs. Just spread out and cover all entries. Always keep your distance from fanatics. They will try and bum rush you and suicide to either kill you or mark you. Cleansing is the white pool in the center of room. For the oracles, just spread out and make sure you get the ones that spawn near the templar. Be sure to eliminate all the hobgoblins in between oracle waves. If its done well you should be done relatively quickly. Third encounter: Templar This fight can be a little tricky at times. If you fight him legitimately its pretty much just a dps race. A relic spawns in the middle of the room after the oracle waves. The templar spawns after the relic is picked up. Oracles spawn periodically and you have to kill them or you'll get marked. You generally want someone who is a higher level to pick up the relic because they will no longer have ranged damage. The relic has three different melee attacks, a standard melee hit, a lunge, and a ground smash. The lunge and the ground smash are you most effective ways of killing. You will also gain a "cleanse" in place of your grenade button. Its used to cleanse every one in the raid if you get marked. The relics super charge fires a projectile that is used to take down the templars shield. Once his shield is down, he will imprison three random players. You have to destroy this prison, if you try and run out of it you will die. So try to avoid using rockets right after his shield is brought down. Also shortly after his shield is brought down he will try and teleport away. The location he will teleport to will be marked with a large red ring with a white beam coming out of it. You can block his teleport by standing in this circle till it turns white. Be careful though, after each blocked teleport he summons minotaurs. If it gets to much let him teleport so you can clean up all the Minotaur and harpies. After about 7 minutes he enrages. Hence I said its a dps race. You have to kill him quickly so he doesnt enrage. During the enrage he summons lots of oracle and lots of minotaurs. So try and avoid it. Fourth encounter: Gorgon maze: Gorgons are incredibly tough harpies. If they spot a player you have about thirty seconds to try and kill it or it wipes the raid. If you get spotted before you get to the chests the doors are locked and you can no longer get to them without wiping. Fifth encounter: Jump maze Navigate your way through the jump maze till your at the glass throne. Sixth encounter: Gatekeeper The gatekeeper fight consists of running through portals killing gatekeepers. grabbing relics, and defending a conflux. When you first enter the room you want to clear it of all enemies. There will be several descendant, and precursor goblins and hobgoblins, you have to becareful because they do pack a punch. There is also a hydra called "Gatekeeper" try to kill him last. He prevents you from opening the portals. After you kill the gatekeeper there are sync plates on the left and right side of the doorway. They are used to open the portals on the platform above them. Its generally easier to do the left portal first(left from the entrance of the room. use the entrance of the room to orient yourself to the portals). Some people have different way of running the portals, I like to send two people into the portal and leave for defenders. The defenders have it easy at first. All they have to do is defend the sync plate from minotaurs. At first. The portal team has to go in, kill the gatekeeper, grab the relic, and get out. Be careful though as soon as you grab the relic anyone in the portal gets Marked by the void(Marked by the void causes your screen to blacken till you can longer see) this where the relic cleanse comes back into play, whomever grabs the relic has to cleanse everyone who is marked so they can continue to the next portal. Now defenders, as soon as the gatekeeper in the portal dies a conlfux will appear in the middle of the room. At which point minotaurs will begin to spawn at the top of the steps. At this point two defenders leave the plate to defend the conflux. while the other two escort the portal team to the next portal and defend the sync plate. The portal team repeats what they did before, however they will both have relics now. After they come out of the second portal everyone has to defend the conflux. Both portals will open and praetorians will come from the both. The easiest way to deal with them is for the relic holders to just knock them back into the portal with a lunging attack. While everyone else kills anything that gets close to the conflux.. After a few minutes the encounter should end, marked by everyone receiving loot. Final encounter: Aetheon So it begins with aetheon spawning at the top of the steps on the far side the room. Where he will walk down the steps shooting at the players. Your best bet is just stay in cover and STAY ALIVE. After about a minute of him shooting, he will teleport three random players. He teleports them to one of two different planets. Mars, of venus. Each planet signifies which portal needs to be opened. Mars=left venus=right. Remember that. The people who get teleported need to call which planet so the other know which portal needs to be opened using the sync plate. Ok, so the three who get teleported, one needs to grab the relic run down the stairs and kill the enemies at the base of the stairs, then run back to the other two and cleanse them because all three of you are marked by the void as soon as you are teleported. While the other two have to kill more oracles, they are usually red and will spawn above you. Its best to stay at the top of stairs at first. There are 7 oracles I think. After you kill all the oracles everyone in the raid gains a buff called "times vengence" This greatly increases your damage against aetheon for 30 seconds. At this time you need to burn aetheon with everything youve got. Supers are constantly recharging along with grenades. While the defenders have to open the specified portal and kill all the supplicants from the portal platform. Supplicants are nasty harpies that will bumrush you and detonate killing anyone within range, so either kill them quickly or stay off the ground level. And above all else stay alive. If youre dead youre not contributing and someone has to risk themselves to revive you. So try and stay alive. If anyone has anything else to add please feel free.
