4th Playable Race/class
First, I would just like to say that user [b]Insomniatron[/b] suggested the idea on another thread. I'm simply stating the idea.
There are a few grimoire cards throughout the library that talk about fallen. One in particular speaks of a Fallen Vandal that Cayde-6 encounters that actually helps him fight several Hive. This is, to say the least, badass.
The queen also has two bodyguards in the story ( I've seen the cutscenes 9001 times so I remember that). This may suggest that the Fallen (lower ranks at least) are merely slaves serving a master. If the slaves could be freed, than maybe they would help us against the darkness.
So how about a 4th playable race. Instead of calling them the fallen, however, they could be called [b]The Risen[/b].
Several cosmetic factors could also be added in i.e.: different breathing apparatuses to assist in ether intake( these would replace the hair options)different scars, and several eye colors. Docked arms and non docked arms may also be an option, along with tattoos that show their old loyalty to a fallen house (Devils, Winters, etc.). The story would be pretty simple. You are a Fallen that was woken from death by the traveller, just like the other gaurdians.
Along with this tree, maybe their could be a fourth class released. I have no ideas on this, but in most games that Destiny takes it's roots from, races and classes are released hand in hand.

that could be true, but the fallen vandals that stand beside her are apart of the house of judgement, the house that variks is in. and since variks is partnered with the queen, the house aids her as bodyguards sort of.

Comment what you think![/quote] If we do we should start at lvl and be forced to look like dregs and as we lvl we progress to elite dregs and the vandal elite vandal Capt elite Capt then Baron and then kell and finally to whomever get to maximum lvl first or perhaps a pvp challenge just for the fallen race rises to kell of kells

Playing as a Fallen.. or Eliksni as I am sure they would prefer to be called could be cool, but the name The Risen is already taken in Destiny lore, it is used to describe the first guardians.

The fourth class could be something like an engineer because they dont have anything like it. Maybe they could wallrun or something.

1 ReplyIf you look at classic 'dungeons and dragons' type games, there's usually 4 classes; warrior (titan), archer (hunter), mage (warlock), paladin (????). Just a thought... :-)

1 ReplyLove it! I've also thought about this. The Fallen are my absolute favorite race in the game! Variks is a G! Also while digging through the grimoire I've created a theory that I believe could be possible. Simply put I believe that as Destiny begins to grow the battles will too. Basically I believe races are going to team up. First The Fallen will team with us- mainly due to their connection to the traveler. Second the Vex will team with the Cabal- if you read through the grimoire it states that a possible reason for the Vex being on mars is because they are testing the Cabals strength. Perhaps to form allegiance. Third, the hive will team with the Ahemkara. -Yes I know they're reportedly extinct but I heard somewhere (don't remember where) that bungie is designing a new enemy race and that it would be the Ahemkara (take with a grain of salt). So, I believe it is highly possible for us to play as Eliksni. We have Variks as a living example and the team up of Cayde-6 and the vandal (thought it was a baroness) to provide history of buried hatchets between us. Who knows, but I would love for the to be true. If this does happen then I know what my main character will be now

People get so excited when the game has launched with 3 playable classes for over a year, and then somebody come up with an idea that we should have the 4th class. Yes, I really do like your idea. We already have a strength, dexterity and intellect type of class. The 4th class could have a willpower, possibly a some sort of an Acolyte; a class between strength/dex/intel. I'd love to see a 4th class. Feels like more balance and adds more creativity and ideas to the game.

this is by far the coolest and most creative destiny idea so far! We should push for the addition of this by bungie in the next big update (shattered suns, maybe?) they should be called eliksni, and there are grimoire cards that say that the eliksni were ruled by the traveler (they call it the great machine) but then the darkness came and wiped their world (they call it the whirlwind) and then the traveler fleed and the eliksni came after him, and after their world was wiped and the traveler moved on to another race they are called the fallen, so im not sure if we are going to be able to play as the eliksni but there is a high chance that they will be friendly at some point of the story (in the future). even though i would like to play as an eliksni. please call them the eliksni. not the risen.

Am I the only one who thinks you should be able to choose a race beside human, awoken, and exo for example cabal, fallen, vex, hive, nine, etc each with there own separate story

The fourth class exists. In a vlog done by a youtuber before Destiny came out, him, AngryJoe and a few others had to turn off their cameras when on the last section of the Bungie tour that took them upstairs. When he jump-cut to the end of the tour, they all said they got to see the 4th class. None of them have said what it is, but it exists.

1 ReplyThis is an awesome idea. I would have the starting weapon be a sidearm. I also think the beggining should be you are treated badly by your kell/baron/captain and are docked. So you desert and head out towards the city in search of help. You fight through hive and other fallen. You eventually get to the city and after a lot of gun pointing, you are accepted with some reluctancy. You embark on a bunch of quests and eventually prove yourself. The city helps you get undocked. After undocking, you gain special access to the wire rifle, tracking pulse rifle things that vandals use, and arc swords. Your grenades include a trip mine (solar (more vertical hitbox) and arc(more horizontal hitbox)) and a flash bang. You don't get a double jump but your default jump is much higher than guardians (about the reach of double jump with higher jump) your super is you get a permanent camo with two arc swords or a ultra Schorch cannon similar to golden gun's power but fires sticky rounds. Just as a side not, this will probably never happen cuz bungie scrapped the idea of different stories based off the race of the player. The human was supposed to start of by escaping from a fallen raid and eventually making it to the city after running a while fighting through fallen. The awoken was supposed to start Out in the reef but you get banished by the urn and end up going to the city for help. The one we play today is the exo beggining.
