Destiny 2, Bungie's way of saying thanks?

So, I keep hearing whispers about Destiny two being in the works. And may I just say how relieved I am to hear this. It warms my heart to know, that in the end, they've given up on us. And that those of us who will still be to painstakingly grinding our way through the same tasks every week to see if the fates decide we're ready to be level 30s, will rest easy knowing that our friends with PS4s will be receiving more exclusive content in the sequel. Will it explain the hollow shell of a story that was obviously expansive at one point, but now has been reduced to a mission design that resembles that of spartan ops in halo 4? Will I have to buy a PS4 and create a whole new character, limitlessly grinding the raid so that I can receive materials for armor that the game doesn't seem to think my friends and I should have until we've done it 50 times. Sure ive only done it 8 times, but watching my friend whos blasted through it over 20 times and only came out with one pair of warlock boots across all three of his characters doesnt serve as good motivation for me to continue. Will i have to buy a PS4, and the game, and the expansion pack so I can get special treatment too? Clearly this is Bungie's way of saying thank you to all the loyal playstation players who played all their halo games, oh wait... thats not right. I remember creating a "service record"on bungie.net years ago that made me feel good about my legacy throughout the halo games, and a sense of pride and loyalty to the group that created it. Now i just feel, dissapointed. And no thats not because I'm salty about the constant flow of pure ascendant mats I seem to be rewarded with during the raid. Its because I feel like we've built a history with Bungie and its almost as if it means nothing to them. No matter how many times we got hyped up to play the new beta. I mean I should expect nothing less, money talks. And clearly Sony had the money. But is this how you guys want to do business now? Should we expect to switch consoles and start over every time someone offers a you guys a bigger paycheck? Should we also expect to re-purchase all of the expansions? Is this customer service? I'm not asking for an explanation why Activision is dictating your development I'm sure theres a corporate excuse for everything you guys do, but why does it seem like the development team is more interested in making the game harder than what the players and the community would like to see changed? Clearly you guys have one of the largest gaming communities here, incorporating both Xbox and Playstation which is fantastic. And you listened to us when it came to the Cryptarch which deserves an applause, honestly. But it seems a bit like you guys are more concerned about making it difficult and rare for people to succeed in this game than you are focused on making it enjoyable and spontaneous. You've all done great jobs with art and visuals, music is perfect, the atmosphere is perfect, combat is near perfect, but we're all content hungry and its not because we're greedy. Its because we all bought a full price game, which contained half maybe a third of its original content. I understand that the "Dev Team" is too busy nerfing the few things left that we like about destiny to be concerned about customer service and I get that. Your jobs probably depend on how well you brown nose the guys at Activision and Its not your fault. I just want to be confident that we as fans will be able to play the whole game that we've already purchased before we have to go buy a PS4 and buy the sequel. And that we can feel like the time we spent grinding Isn't all just another test beta for you guys to re-make the game that we were originally promised.

  • Dude if you ever buy another Bungie Made Game .. especially if the title says Destiny 2 or anything Destiny for that matter. Your a dumb ass fool who deserves to have their money taken from then have it placed in a sock with a rock and then have your ass beaten. Your rant should have a purpose and that is to Stand Up and Walk out on this Debacle.

  • Here is something to bring hope back to developers. Just not bungie, they are as dumb as deej's answers. link

    • I completely agree with everything especially the playstation getting more content which is the stupidist thing ever. What the duck is wrong with xbox? Why does Xbox get less? Xbox players built bungie up in the first place

      • I like destiny still. It's a good game despite being a little repetitive IMO. I hope that they take the constructive feedback from destiny and make destiny 2 better.

      • This is how games have been for years, a certain amount of resources are tasked with the design and concepts of the next game while the rest of the team still works on support. Destiny was in its early stages during ODST and Reach, does that mean they didn't care about those games too? If the next destiny is to be better than the first they need to start from the ground up and now is when that starts, this is how games are and have been made for a long time
