Maybe for the people who don't won't to follow the Traveler they can have armor with darkness on it and not light. Instead of having a light level you can have a darkness level which can show your devotion to following the darkness. Instead of your level number being a yellow maybe it can be a dark grey or even a black. This is just and idea that I had so please don't show hate.
