Over the past few days I've been reading these forums. Bit by Bit. Here and there just logging in and reading what people are saying in response to these post from a Bungie Rep. If I had to guess I'd say close to 90% of the people posting are angry and let down in this game. It's coming up on 2 months of the games release. People are very unhappy with the game for several reasons it seems. I myself have never played a game that did not have glitches, or mistakes, or miscalculations. I certainly have never judged a game or anything so harshly so quickly. It seems as though people expected this game to be their savior and answer to all their gaming prayers. I will agree that it was built up to be an epic and amazing game. I have discovered like many that it slows down and there is grinding. I don't mind grinding because it's part of all our lives in and out of a game. We go to work, we eat, we sleep, we try to find peace or happiness, we are constantly pushing and pulling to something (grind). This game to me is a mixture or Halo, Borderlands, and Star Wars. By no means is this game perfect but it has the potential to be something grand and I hope that Bungie can see this. It may take them years to tune this game. The possibilities are limitless. Spaceship battles, Sparrow (star wars speeder bike) races, multi-vehicle (warthog!!!), Survival waves, lightsaber-like melee weapons. I mean I could just go on and on. I really don't get the story though. I love a good suspense movie so who knows maybe it's planned that we don't know whats really going on.

EDIT:: I know 355hrs is too much. I sustained a Sciatic Nerve injury during a fall at work recently. Im in severe pain if I do anything more than sit or lay down. I know it's a lot but I don't have anything else to do (not by choice). By Doctor's order, I'm on bed/house arrest for the following 6 months while I recover. I will not apologize for my profanity, nor for my honesty. I'm tired of putting faith in you Bungie, and then getting spit on and laughed at. The community needs to start being brutally honest, and stop being apologetic. I have 14 days, 20 hours, and 15 minutes played. In other-words, I have clocked [b][u]355+ hours[/u][/b] on Destiny. 1 day 8 hrs on story, 4 days 4 hrs on strike, 2 days 13 hrs on raid, 3 days 2 hrs on crucible, and 3 days 15 hrs on Patrol. Do not tell me I must have enjoyed it if I spent that much time on the game, because I didn't. Thanks to RNG it took me that long to get to level 30, to be able to try out the Hard Mode raid (which was a breeze, may I add). The only thing I'm missing is flawless raider (impossible with all the bee/caterpillar/zebra/monkey/mulberry/cockatiel/dildo errors), not to mention the relic not registering hits on the Praetorian Ultra's now and then, or being stuck in an infinite time-stream if you accidentally or tactically slide into the portals to duck some damage. I'm level 30, with multiple sets of raid gear, exotics, etc., and I've completed the raid on normal and hard collectively more than ~30 times. I've investigated secret caves for hours, I've jumped to strange places just to say I could, hell I've even completed the raid with 3 people (lvl 30, lvl 30, lvl 25) without pushing Atheon off. I've clocked days worth of play time in every single aspect of this game, and at the end of all the "The best part is just around the corner, keep grinding!", all I have to say is that I've come to realize this game is unhealthy. It is more addicting than it is fun. I was an avid halo player, clocking an average of 30 kills per team slayer game, level 50 in doubles, lone wolf, slayer, MLG, you name it. I competed on gamebattles, and was even invited to a sponsored event back during the days of halo 3. I am good at FPS games, and that's simply a fact. I excel at CoD, BF, Halo, Borderlands, Warframe, etc. you name it, I'm always a top-tier player. I KILL it in the crucible on Destiny, and you know what? At the end of every match I'm frustrated, usually yelling at my TV screen or cursing Bungie (my once favourite gaming company period). I get an average K.D now after adjusting to the mechanics of 2.5 - 5. I have games that went as high as 17KD, 22.5KD. Hell, I'm even ranked 50th OVERALL on destinytracker(destinypublicevents) in Destiny for Longest Kill-Streak in the crucible. Yet, even when I manage a solid 4.5KD game, I'm literally fuming mad at how poor the game mechanics are. The gunplay is beautiful, but the coding is absolute shit. I've never killtraded this much in a game before, ever. Not even close. Not even remotely -blam!-ing close. I'd also like to know why assists count as kills? I have killed 0 enemies as a hunter, because I've never played as a hunter. Yet, my Grimoire insists that I've killed thousands of players while I was personally playing as a hunter... The crucible is absolute, utter, garbage. Blue shotguns kill from further than the invective does. Rare Shingen/Galahad's out-perform Atheon's Epilogue, Suros, Shadow Price, Hard Light, you name it. Supers are up far too often, especially with the entire team being able to share orb-drops. (2 titan's on a team of 6 with high intellect can keep the entire team of 6 full on supers over and over for a good third of a match. The supers are a -blam!-ing joke, plain and simple. They shouldn't be included in the crucible period, let alone how often they are. I get killed by supers sometimes 4-5 respawns in a row. And don't get me started on how often you kill-trade on this game.... give me a -blam!-ING BREAK. I don't even care about RNG or rewards from crucible, I just want a good PVP interaction. There's no team doubles, no 4v4 (a staple of any and every good FPS), no custom matches, no objectives besides let's see who can grab point B first then watch the enemy team back out because there's no penalty for leaving a match, and the tiny slim chance of getting something useful isn't worth the anger caused by joining into an already losing match where your team is down by ~10,000 points and there's nothing you can do but take the completely unfair loss, or leave. The truth is, this game is so -blam!-ing boring that the most interesting thing I've done since popping the disc into the PS4 is glitching into the 2015 'The Terminus' DLC area and picking up the ghosts that shouldn't even be there yet, let alone accessible. Literally, the most fun I've had so far was exploring empty semi-finished areas that are yet to be released, by jumping over a barrier or two in this laughably UN-open world. If I didn't have friends that played, I would have taken a shit on the disc, and mailed it straight to bungie HQ. The only fun I have on this game now is laughing at accidental no-clipping, or when the Cabal hit you with their shield and you fly a few hundred feet up or away without dying, or when a dead body lands in a corner and looks like it's dancing. Accidentally crushing your friend with a tank, then getting out and walking away slowly with your head down while everyone else points at you. Literally, you have to make your own fun on this game through online social interaction (that is made even harder by bungie's retarded decision to not-include the ability to chat with those near you or in your game). This game was clearly catered to children, and young teens. Bland easy to understand storyline? Check. Do a simple task over and over that's rewarding to a young person because it's SOMETHING they can do? Check. Make the game rated T instead of M? Check. Take out public chatting to protect 12 year olds from being called -blam!- and -blam!- by e-bullies? Check. This game was made by a bunch of small minds, to appeal to other small minds. The BUNGIE of Halo is gone. The BUNGIE that cared about it's community is gone. Bungie used to actually change map layouts, add MP gametypes, actually inserted community/fan made maps into MP rotation. Griffball, oddball - AWESOME FUN! Where the hell is the FUN, bungie!? None of us feel like legends. We all feel like we got duped into a money sink-hole. You let everybody down, and should be ashamed of yourself. Bungie is a disappointment, it is not even close to something to be proud of. You hurt a lot of fans, scammed money out of millions of people, and continue to laugh in our faces and shrug off our concerns about this games lack of.... well, everything. It lacks content, it lacks wow factor, it lacks social interaction, it lacks balanced/consistent multiplayer, and offers an "open world" that's incredibly empty and full of "turn back in x seconds" and random (death) barriers. The storyline is different than it was portrayed in the trailers, the live-action trailer teases at weapon customization (writing on the side of the gun), and shows a hunter using a blink strike to hold, activate, drop, and detonate TWO frag grenades (which don't even exist in the game, nor can a hunter use two grenades simultaneously, let alone while mid-teleport). Crow is gone and became 'the queens brother', you're never confronted by him at gun-point, the exo stranger plays a totally useless roll, you cannot play your own music in-game (which was also teased at in the live-action trailer), the list goes on and on and on. Great legacy, bungie. Real glad you (failed at) carrying the torch to PS. My final snapping point was when you decided to e-mail legendary engrams to select low-level players to help 'boost' them up a few light levels. There are FREE MMORPG's that offer literally, and I'm not exaggerating, 1000% more content than this game does. How -blam!-ing sad do you have to be, to be a multi-million if not billion $ company, and still feel the need to -blam!-ing lie to millions of average people to take their hard-earned cash in return for many broken promises. Shame on you all, at Bungie. At the end of the day, I'm disappointed in myself for spending half a month of my life on a game that leaves me angry, frustrated, and with high blood pressure. To be frank, I will be opening a case for false advertisement and fraud should I not see significant improvement to this game within the next 3 weeks, leading up to the DLC release. I'm incredibly serious, and whether I win or lose - you will be forced to spend the time, effort, and money to send a representative all the way to Ontario to appear in small claims court over $60. I purchased a product, and that product is not even remotely close to what I was told I would get, nor did it come as described. That is enough grounds, and my lawyer agrees. I am heavily considering selling my PS4 for an Xbox One so I can play Master Chief Collection, and reminisce on when you little spit--blam!-s actually made quality. I can't even say you traded quality for quantity with this game, because it has neither quality NOR quantity.

Public Events aren't a challenge. They are tiny skirmishes one player can do alone. We should have Tower Events!!! My honest opinions and views of this game and how Bungie could change a few major things about this game to make it a lot better. Destiny is arguably the worst game that this world has ever seen. Games are supposed to be fun and bring people together but this game does neither. I have never in my entire life been more angry at anything more than I have been at Destiny. Destiny's loot system is horrible, the lack or content is inexcusable, the crucible is a huge joke, the iron banner that should be a permanent game type is only an event, the events are garbage, the glitches in this game are horrendous, your ghost is completely emotionless and dull, the small amount of story that we have is like something that a second grader with short term memory loss wrote, the party system is terrible and cumbersome, glimmer is pretty much worthless because there's nothing worthwhile to spend it on, and the list goes on and on and on and on. And on top of all of that, all the problems this game has and all the gigantic unbelievable mistakes, Bungie is working on Destiny 2 when they haven't even made this game playable... With all the complaining out of the way (whew, sorry) here is what I think Bungie should do to fix this problem: Shut down the company, Bungie obviously doesn't have a single competent person working there because my dog knows more about developing a game than any of the people at Bungie do. And this is exactly what the people at Bungie don't want to hear DeeJ keeps posting interviews with people from the gaming community that have nothing but good things to say about the game but for every good interview, there are 100,000 pissed off people who's opinions never see the light of day because DeeJ and the "Developers" at Bungie can't handle the truth. They want to build a good game but they won't let themselves see the things that make this game horrible and they especially won't fix them. All that Bungie cares about it money if you don't believe me ask yourself this: Why in the world would Bungie start production on Destiny 2 instead of devoting all of their man power to fixing this game? Because launch day for any game is the most profitable few days that game will ever see, forget DLCs. Deej, I have played this game since day one but I am not as great as the others that play this 24/7. ( I do not know if others have spoke about this...) It's a different type of game & I enjoy playing...I have read lots of articles good n bad, so since I am not a game maker, I would like to send a few ideas. I noticed that there are "plenty" of different types of spacecrafts & speeders to buy but what good do they all do when the original one we start with does the same thing. Can there be some kind of space battle & that the ships/speeders actually take damage & need repairs. There is a hangar that ships auto land so could we "manually" land in the Tower instead of materializing on the main Tower floor. We go on "missions" to collect parts & whatnot for the Ship master, we can spend things on ship repair & upgrades. I noticed that there is a computer in the bottom deck that we could go to, to check on the status & or request upgrades. We could request minor upgrades to our speeders like in Star Wars. I noticed that there was in different places thru out the game that there was battles in space & maybe we could get parts & or places to defend in space as well as on land. Then, when we are ready to go, we get into our ship while its on its way up the elevator & then take off like on a aircraft carrier. Also, if we have the necessary parts to upgrade our weapons, why can't we do it then instead of waiting hours of game play? ~Just askin

I find that the majority of the people who actually do enjoy this game are still playing the game...and those that find every little thing to complain about are the ones ruining the experience for everyone else. I.E. "the Vex is way too OP!!" then it turns into a major nerf which screws the minority that have this weapon...and now the "trophy" weapon of the game is useless. Don't get me wrong...there are A LOT of annoying issues with the game (bee, caterpillar, weasel...honey-badger) but no game is perfect...and Destiny falls right in to that without a question. However, Bungie isn't ruining the game experience as much as the people whining about every little thing that doesn't go their way that ruins it for everyone else. If you don't like the game so badly...play something else...there's a lot of other games to run off and complain about.

I would love to see the demographics of the people that are consistently commenting about how bad Destiny is. It seems to me like the majority of mature games (older than 25) who have been through a much wider variety of games are still enjoying Destiny, while the younger generation and their instant gratification culture can't seem to enjoy the game. A few thoughts: Why do people complain about DLC? Seems like a bunch of Millennials complaining because they didn't get everything they wanted. Are you really going to try and argue that Destiny at launch day wasn't worth $60 in entertainment value? Let me break that down for you. $60 = 6 movie tickets (maybe), which is 12 hours of entertainment with little-to-no replay value. Very few movies are watchable over and over. $60 = 1 tank of gas $60 = 1 Ticket to an MLB baseball game, 3 hours (5 if it's Yankess/Red Sox) and it's over. Have you ever considered the Hot Dogs and Beer are actually the equivalent of DLC to enjoying the event? What costs more than $60? 1 Z-Jay (if you don't know how much it is, you can't afford it) 1 Ticket to an NFL game 1 Season of any TV show on DVD or Blue Ray 6 month subscription to World of Warcraft 1 Year Netflix Subscription 1 Year Hulu Plus Subscription Bungie and Destiny has every right to include whatever they want on launch day and withhold any content for additional DLC. You pricks are not entitled to anything just because they have already "made it". You do not "deserve" to have it simply because you want it. You can't really argue that the DLC's will not have enough content for $20 each. DLC costs the extra money because that is what it is worth.

What I hate about this game is hat there are hardly any microwaves! Space fighting in my ship rarely ends in tea-bagging, and nobody ever cleans the refrigerator in the Tower. As in...what butt pirate puts an uncovered half eaten Chipotle burrito in a COMMUNITY fridge and then leaves it there for one of the PS4 guys to clean up?! Also, and I don't mean to split hairs here, but I did find the soccer ball, but where in the Tower is the Sports Authority where I can buy the proper sports wear, and shin guards that are currently recommended AND required by all soccer authorities?!! It's mindless and asinine problems like this that are at the heart of all these posters issues! You played 350 hrs of destiny? Try making your character dance for 350 hrs and not even get on DeeJ's radar! Like I'm going around the wold of Destiny, spreading my sexy moves, and trying to dance myself to a solid 15 minutes of fame...and yet here I am....thumb in my bum,..belt around my neck....and dressed as a Ninja Turtle. Point being, the higher-ups at Starbucks are real bootyholes for putting my drink in an NON-MICROWAVABLE cup! Who the crap can finish 20 ounces of 1/3 coffee, 1/3 cocaine, and 1/3 gunpowder in one sitting? I did one time, and I spent the afternoon in the desert running from anthill to ant hill just stomping away. I must have destroyed the lives and families of some...300,000 ants. That's not even counting the ones I snorted. I hear their cries in my dreams. Screaming children, mothers, fathers, vacation planners....all fell on deaf ears. When I came to, I was buck naked, spooning the still warm carcass of a bear, covered head to toe in honey with dead ants stuck to me in the designs reminiscent of one Ed Hardy. When I got up I found I had the cup part of a jock strap super glued over my "goods" with "Never Again" written on it in Sharpie. The only thing about that, that gave me pause was the fact that I'm not sure if there is any bear native to a desert climate. better yet. the tower event happens in the tower. it can be attacked by fallen walkers climbing up the sides and troop transports raining down on the tower. meanwhile you see the other guardians put on their helmets and pull out their guns as your switched to first person. the vendors would all retreat someplace and who knows maybe even the vanguard can get a combat A.I. and help out. maybe a little far fetched but who knows?
