Feedback for the Crucible's Guardians

PvP the Wrong Way? I'm sure some of you think this is another attempt to bash the crucible. I'm sorry to say that is not true of this topic. Let me clarify with a few bullet points: •I do think there are many problems with The Crucible. •Some of these problems are on Bungie's end. •Most of the problems (in my humble opinion) are due to the habits of the players. Now, give me a chance to explain. I understand no one likes to take the blame, but it is our fault. We've grown so accustomed to the run-and-gun, lone-wolf play style we've learned from most other shooters like the Halo, Battlefield, and Call of Duty franchises. That's not what Bungie wants for their latest work of art. They want us to become a well coordinated community. I know some of you are groaning. I don't much like the thought of constantly talking to strangers either. Below I'll list a few tips to explain good ways to become more cooperative without it seeming like a lot of work. One thing you can do is stick with a teammate. In a firefight the team who has more guardians will almost always win. This doesn't mean you have to play with a friend; you can simply follow the nearest teammate. You will very quickly find that you will avoid the ever so common 2v1 map border firefights. Another thing you can do is play the objective. This is something I see too very often in many games. People refuse to play the objective. There is a very specific reason that team deathmatch was conceived. If you are competing in a control match then use the 2-4 offense to take an objective. Then translation to the 3-3 defense. (I'll explain these tactics at a later point) So far that is all I can see wrong with the way we are handling our play styles. I would certainly love if we could try to play a little more cooperatively before we start yelling at Bungie. I believe they've made a truly great game, but they've made it with an expectation of us as a community. Let's meet their expectations.

 • Do you ever find yourself in a round where it seems line people are constantly in a hurry to die? "I gotta rush! Oh, I'm dead. Let's rush again! Dead. Curveball: I'll rush a third time! Dead" Stop it! Just use cover and fire from range.
