Are you a "Xurner" or an Earner?
I am a "Xurner" and I'm damn proud about it. I'm sorry that you can't be that special snowflake. You might want to think of better ways to waste your time rather than pounding your fist on the floor and flailing.
I guess in a way, I "earned" my Hawkmoon by grinding Tigerstrikes and was randomly blessed by the RNGesus.
If Xur was to sell the Hawkmoon (despite the console exclusiveness) next week, would I whine?
Hell no. In what way does this entitle me to a piece of loot that has a % chance to drop like everything else?
EDIT: I should have said that both is an answer. My personal opinion is WHO CARES, in case no one got what I was siding with.

Either way you don't earn random loot drops. Cause it's random. If anything since you get strange coins and motes of light for actually doing things XUR items are the earned ones cause you have to earn those motes and coins.

26 exotics later. I just can't keep track anymore prolly 30 some with duplicates.

I'm a RNG'er got all my exotics from random strike rewards and and crytparch level up.Didn't buy any and not been to a raids yet.

That's like saying earning a lottery win. Xur is the only way to actualy do something to earn the coins to buy stuff. Rng is just plain luck can idle a entire crusible or tiger and still get exotics. But sure get stuff on pure luck/suprise is abit more fun. Weekly tend to get abit boring.

Are you a "Customer" (Xurner) or are you "Lucky" (Earner). The only way to earn anything in destiny is via exotic bounties. Xur to me feels like what an RPG typically has. You do dungeons and crap to earn tokens to buy from the special vendor npcs that sell good gear. Xur feels like lower scaled version of what it is like to work at a job, save up cash, then buy something cool with that money. Rest is all RNG baby.

I feel like RNGesus has a love hate relationship with me I have 7 exotic weapons. 4 are from bounties. 2 I bought. 1 I earned from crucible I got a Suros and an Ice Breaker from the Nightfall strike, but I had already purchased them from Xur befor :/

I have completed all the exotic bounties and made many purchases from Xur... most difficult one was probably the mythoclast from actually killing atheon but yet i have pushed him too so im both lol

As far as I'm concerned, you have to earn the coins to buy from Xur. RNG is just a dice roll. There is no earning there. One person could do the raid for weeks and not get anything while a noob could come in, get carried and literally "earn" all the raid gear on their first try. Random drop =/= earning
