Middle aged, job, family, life.
Enough disposable income that I don't cry if my $60 doesn't make all my dreams come true.
I wouldn't call myself casual - I play 20+ hours a week but I'm not playing all day every day.
This is why this game is perfect for people like me:
1. I don't care so much about story. Sure, a good story is cool but I'm more interested in game play and having fun.
2. I love the fact that there's a limit to how many bounties, marks, etc you can get in a week. There's always something to do when I log on but I don't feel like I have to play constantly to keep up with the hardcores.
3. I never played games on-line before and Destiny convinced me to start. I already have a small circle of on-line friends that is growing all the time.
4. I don't give a rats about PvP
5. I don't feel like there's a rush to get to lvl 30. I have been 28 for a while and haven't even really tried a raid yet. My goal is to get good at raids by the end of November so I can be close to 30 when the DLC drops.
6. The game is just plain fun to play. Sure It's repetitive but there's always something to work towards - and enough progress to keep it satisfying.
So if your young or unemployed and feel like you should be entitled to a game that you can play 10 hrs a day and never repeat anything I feel bad for you. This game wasn't made for you.
It was made for us.
Middle aged, job, family, life. ... I don't care so much about story
Depressing the hell out of me ... how did you give in so quickly, you are not meant to reach this point until your in a nursing home being spoon fed pumpkin slops.
I already have a small circle of on-line friends that is growing all the time
Gawd ... it can get worse. Now he is calling his plants "friends" ... mans got to have a hobby I guess, and there is the light of happiness in that they are "growing" ... but still ?!?
So if your young or unemployed
So go the stereotypes - says the self confessed middle aged, dead end job, dragged down by family, unable to achieve "happy endings" (after PAYING $60 for one) ... not exactly the poster child bungie was looking for - lol
