So, does anyone know if I can get to the new level 32 cap (EDIT: once the new DLC comes out) without getting the raid gear from the VoG?
Lets be honest, I have extremely bad luck when it comes to getting the goods from the VoG. I have yet to get a single piece of Raid Gear since launch, (though I know I can get some of those raid-esque armor parts from the next Iron Banner). So, can I get to 32 whilst being 29 still?

You may have to be 28-29 to do the dlc content. I doubt they would make it mandatory for you to have full raid gear to play the DLC. Just having it gives you an upper hand on tackling the new stuff. It will take longer for somebody to get to the new content if they never do the raid but you have options. This of course is a theory based on what they have in the game so far. You can go into hard mode at lvl 27 and you can do nightfall at 25 but it's not recommended. I'm sure this content will not be as hard as those but it will show up as very hard if you are at the unlock level. If you're 30 it will probably just be normal difficulty.
