POLL: SHOULD BUNGIE IMPLIMENT A TRADE SYSTEM?
if you are for or against state why.
bungie has formally stated they will never and have no intentions of implimenting one, but maybe if enough of the forum pop agrees or disagrees they could in a perfect world listen.
I believe there should be. not for the players or to fix the shitty loot system, but for bungie to keep it's gamers. From a PR standpoint your loot system is flawed, and you have no intent on changing it, so let the players fix it by letting them trade. the game is at a point where there is little to no real world value on raid gear or loot if you are saying there's no trade for RWT prevention.

1 ReplyEdited by TattooedFox: 8/26/2015 3:17:15 PMThe new blueprint system coming in TTK pretty much guarantees they will never put a trading system in the game as you can just buy copies of every exotic you've ever found and just trade away till you have every exotic in the game within a few days. I support the idea of trading immediately after a strike/raid or whatever has finished. You should get a chance to do it on the rewards screen.

You should be able to trade on the rewards screen so you can't just get all the blueprints of everything

I sell Imago Loop w/ Firefly and Reactive Reload 50 bucks. That's why you'll never see trading.

If there was a trading system getting gear would be way to easy I think and glimmer and mats are really really easy to get already.

I selected yes. Reason being is I thought of borderlands and how trading didn't "break" that game. Then I realized borderlands had a story and the entire game wasn't about getting gear. Destiny on the other hand has some story but largely relies on people playing just to get that new gear that has just that much more light. Basically Destiny is all about the gear and if they added trading people wouldn't have to grind so hard and ultimately play less.

I would like to see trading but 95% if the people that post in these forums can't walk and chew gum at the same time without making 3 posts about the gum being "op" It would do nothing but cause problems

We would be over run by gold farmers! Just spamming private messages in tower. Shouting into the voice channels in crucible. Trying to join every chat group not set to private. It has 20 million players, it's like the mecca for unwashed gold selling spammers. If this happened it would choke destiny in broken dialect and requests for your "benk deetales"

No cause ppl would just trade for what they want and the game would be pointless think off Howe many ppl layout playing last year just to find that ghorn if i could give someone the extra give i got they would have stopped playing to till ttk came out

Maybe like world of warcraft. Have items that bond on equip. And items that can be sold or traded. The very hard to obtain items should not be traded.

5 RepliesPeople that bump into players with surplus gear should be able trade with them for their surplus stock of weapons or armor. For example, someone has 2 "Mythoclasts" but wants a "Preydith's Revenge" and you want a "Mythoclast" and have an extra "Preydith's Revenge"; you should be able to work out a bargain.

1 ReplyDestiny simply doesn't have the arsenal required for trading, the lack of guns/armour mixed with terminals that will sell you exotics over and over really will lead to a game dominated by a few guns

Only legendaries and then still no raid weapons and change the roll every time it gets sold and then I'm okay with it

In a very limited fashion. Ex: You, a friend, and a random run a strike. At the end, you get your rewards. However, you get a handcannon and your friend gets a pulse rifle. He uses handcannons and you use pulse rifles. Both weapons are better then what you are currently using. You and you friend can trade then. So, trading at the end of an activity to be able to get what you need, yes, if both/all parties agree on the trade. Overall trading amongst everyone in game, no. I think it would create a lot of heartache with new folks who don't really know. "Hey, I'll trade you this amazing weapon for that exotic. You don't want that thing. It sucks. Take mine. Go ahead, it's ok." Thing like that.

The best suggestion I've seen below so far is saying "only the recent rewards and among your fireteam" but even that could have dupe-issues. Adding a trade system pretty much guarantees a few months of Item-Duplicating as some bug will trickle in. It happens in most games when they add it, and usually takes a while to patch out. During that time the economy goes to hell, everyone is running around with the best gear possible, etc. It also opens up the door to gold-farmers and black or gray markets. Which obviously gets annoying, only at least here we don't have to worry about hearing / reading spam in the game "CHEAP GLIMMER AT StealYourCreditCard DOT UK" or whatever Then even without duplications, you'll still have people getting the best gear and blocking people who aren't "dedicated" enough to the game to have it. Imagine the whole GHorn situation prior to the recent Xur selling, only 10x worse.
