Those who get it really get it.

So I'm at a 3-day offsite work event, we're on lunch hour, and I'm browsing these forums. A guy from my building who's also at the offsite walks by and whispers, "Great game." I look up, surprise. He points at the "DESTINY" logo and repeats, "Great game. I'm totally addicted." I grin and say, "Me too!" Unfortunately he's on 360 and I'm on PS3/PS4, but it's so good to hear positive words from another player. Those who get it really get it. The awesome isn't that hard to find. You just have to appreciate it when you find it. {Edited out an inflammatory phrase.}

 • Get real, its not "awesome". Its basically "okay". Its what we thought we wanted, FPS MMO with free roam and competetive multi player. But that's just it; its literally the bare-essential definition of the genre. Nothing extra, not even a few things fans of such a genre would consider average are present. All that said, its one of the few games which caters to its fanbase- Sure, Borderlands is pretty awesome; yeah, Mass Effect hooked people in; however, Destiny has an interesting take that is very subtle, despite its lack of content. It does cater to a lot of gamers wants. My thoughts; game dev companies think that re-skinned slightly modified character models, recycled and jumbled game mechanics, and recycled physics mechanics are good enough to "wow" higher tier gamers. Casuals don't seem to notice our gripes
