Farming Materials and Trading

I have seen these topics mentioned before, but I wanted to take the time to share my thoughts and even share some ideas that others have posted that I agree with. Maybe we can have a positive discussion that the devs could find to be useful feedback. 1. Farming Planetary Materials I would like to see a way to obtain materials other than looking for nodes and chests while running around in circles during Patrol Mode. As it is right now I try to keep a look out while I am on my way to another objective or completing bounties just to make it more efficient than farming exclusively, which takes away from time to complete other activities. An NPC available at the tower that accepts various game currencies for materials and/or even just being able to trade in certain materials for others would be nice. If this would be too much maybe it could be limited to a daily or weekly cap for each material to be obtained by these means. Another idea I have seen posted regards having materials as a possible reward for Crucible participation, relative to the planetary location of the match. As an example, a chance for a few relic iron for a PvP match on Mars or spinmetal for one on Earth would be nice. This might even provide another incentive for players to participate in the Crucible especially since in its current state it takes time away that could be used for material farming that may be needed. Besides it could even be good to see that you at least got some materials instead of empty reward boxes for what seems like A LOT of the time. What would be a fair maximum possible material reward for a Crucible match participation if it were implemented? 2. Player to Player Trade I would not like to see a full-on unlimited player to player trade system because I do not want to see a real money market created by players nor do I want to have all the fun of having random drops ruined (even as extreme as the RNG is here). Too many things are wrong with that, but what I would really hate is having my Destiny mailbox spammed beyond the Reef by 'glimmer for $$$' messages. However, I will tell you what kind of trading capability I would like to see. So imagine you are in a fire team with two of your friends. You just completed a level 24 Tiger Strike, each of you collected your reward engrams, and you are all ready to go to the tower see what they will turn out to be. What if each of you are playing different classes and you each have an item roll for another class? Now it's not so difficult to imagine, is it? I bet it's happened to more than a few. Would it not be nice to at least trade items within the fire team that was present when the items dropped? That is what I would propose. Fire team trading. Now if such a system were implemented some things to consider would be: a. Should the engrams themselves be trade-able? Or only after decryption? b. Should there be a time limit trade window for the items that dropped? Hopefully this will bring about a civilized discussion. Thanks for reading if you did. For the TL;DR crowd, It would be nice to have an NPC to trade with for materials and even have material rewards added to the Crucible. And Fire team trading.
