The designers aren't willing to implement fan feedback. Oh, they listen. They do a lot of that. But they don't implement anything we suggest.
RNG can't be "fixed". Randomness is artificial difficulty. You'd have to remove it entirely to fix it, and that's not going to happen, so it can never be "fixed".
Bounties affect how players approach the game. If a player wants to earn a bounty for completing a strike without dying, they simply stand still for the duration of the strike and wait for the rest of their team to put all the work in. This cannot be "fixed" either because it comes down to simple human psychology.
The entire game revolves around repetitiveness. You are railroaded into playing content you've already played over and over and over again, not because it's inherently fun and you feel like re-playing it, but because it is the only way to achieve tangible character progression.
At a macro level, Destiny is designed specifically to force you to play in the manner prescribed by Bungie, not in the manner you actually want to play it. That is its crucial failing. It cannot be "fixed". It cannot be patched out or obfuscated by special "events" like Queen's Wrath or Iron Banner. It is intrinsic to the game's design philosophy.
Therefore, I can only conclude that the game is broken beyond repair.

Yeah I think its stupid that its become play on Tuesday because that's reset day. After you've done that everything else is useless.
-
I totally agree the game is 100% broken and unfair, Doing hours of Strikes to try and get better gear............ Without luck, all the stuff you get from strikes end up being dismantled, same with the Court Of Oryx..... Getting low level stuff that get dismantled straight after (watch next time you play it, people access there inventory straight after). All the stuff you get from the Cryptarch is dismantled because of the low stats. Exotic weapons and armour are no longer the exotics you had in year one where they really gave you a noticeable boost. Then you come to PVP rewards............. I played a game yesterday and the guy who died 8 times and got NO KILLS got the best thing? How's that fair? The guy top of the list with all the points and most kills got Nada......... It was a death match FFS. People need to bombard Bungie with complaints or this bull crap will continue
-
These are terrible reasons
-
How is this broken you give very poor examples to say
-
Stop. Playing. The. Game. If. U. Don't. Like. It.

Edited by Jedi5diah: 10/30/2014 2:49:13 AMits not broken, we are just naive to believe in bungie lol...
-
Agreed. It felt so good playing Dark Souls II today. No randomness, just good design.
-
You know what else's broken? Your dads condom.
-
Edited by Synergy-Seven: 10/31/2014 7:56:54 AMgo home Microsoft, you're drunk. But seriously, have you tried fusing the disc back together?
-
I agree for the most part, unfortunately it won't stop me playing.
-
Its not broken beyond repair it's just a matter of will they listen to us or keep insisting we play how they want us too play
-
Edited by MideonNViscera: 10/30/2014 7:18:42 AMIt's complete bullshit that they made claims like "you'll see a guy's gun and you'll know what he went through to get it" without mentioning that what he went through could have been any random assortment of repetitive tasks any random amount of times haha Oh, and he didn't need to be successful at any of them.
-
If Destiny is broken then you must've never played Battlefield 4....
-
@Car15 on any games forum in the world you will read "GAME NAME" is broken beyond repair ) the way Destiny is designed is why we are still playing it. You want that last piece and you will have to succeed multiple times to be able to level up to 30. You will even level up 2 more characters to increase your chances. That is their design. It's exactly how I want it, I love the game, I love that you have to work for it, I find it motivating and superior over any linear game progression, what bothers me is the lack of content and the imposed hold off by Activision for the DLC so they can sell Call of Doodey
-
A good question, do you even know how to make a retail game? I sure dont. That's why I don't whine in the forums about the game. Destiny has been out for close to 2 months. I'm willing to be patient and see where the game is going. And if there are still problems about Destiny after 2 years, they'll fix it So just wait.
-
I have a tool set. I'll stay and keep playing. Maybe that will be one step towards the game not being broken
-
99.999999% of all ideas posed here in similar fashion are bad ideas. Fact.
-
You obviously never played a broken game like BF4...
-
Edited by Grease Wizard: 10/30/2014 3:35:19 AMIt can be fixed but... It will require 10 gravity hammers, 15 energy swords and 43 experience Spartans to get rid of the tyrant we call RNGesus
-
Edited by ChiefDevilEggs: 10/30/2014 6:49:50 AMBasically sums up what Bungie has done to us...
-
Sooooooooo sick of glitches and error codes please fix them.
-
Was in a rumble made an epic comeback won game guess what right zero reward but 2nd place legendary engram and icebreaker Destiny Good job
-
agreed

Bump. #destinydevsdontcare

Me working towards my Dead Orbit gear wasn't random. The absolute best of the best most rare is random. You can predictably scale yourself up through level 28. After that, you have to fight time traveling computer gods from venus. Random gear is the least of your worries, Guardian. Think of the children.

Fan feedback consists of: "Give us tons of content and game modes for free!" "We don't want to learn mechanics, we want an easy out!" "Someone shot me with a gun in a shooting game, it's overpowered!" ...would you listen?
