Bungie, thank you for nerfing that story
Just wanted to say thanks for having the foresight in nerfing the story.
Your amazing, you did it before we even knew we needed it! You have been nerfing so many things lately, that nasty Vex Mythoclast, the VoG stuff, but I love that you already thought ahead and did it to that damn story. I know I speak for a lot of RPG players here and PvE groupies when I say the last thing we needed was a some sort of decent story to have to deal with. I for one love that I only have to focus on those few bounties you offer and the grind for the materials etc. That I only have to worry about going to those few planets and the one area on each. Genius work!

PS I do think you haven't done enough nerfing just yet with the Speaker. I think his lines could actually be better by having him say even less than he currently does. Maybe just "Guardian' and quick nod of his head. But I am sure you can come up with something better there with your team of writers. Plus it will save us all a lot of time when we have to repeat that section. Cheers.

1 ReplyI think they should Nerf it more, we spawn in level 1, in orbit.. Get kicked error code monkey, reload, lvl 30, credits roll, then you're sent to the market/PS store to buy season pass.

2 RepliesThe story was just too powerful. It was dominating all the other stories, so it had to be brought down a few pegs. The story now has 100% less weight, 99% less impact, and 100% more recoil. All its unique features have been removed in place of the 'Generic Plot' and 'Point A to Point B' perks. Remaining unchanged: same reload times, same physical appearance.

The Speaker is spectacular. If he just nodded his head I might think he just saw a rat cause we can't see his/hers/its face. Must be awful dangerous in that lab in order to wear that head armor constantly. And, I think we need bounties to collect more weapon parts and plasteel. Need to write a new story around that. I've become Legend when it comes to ... oh wait look at me. Shame on me talking about a story. I meant we need new DLC to collect more plasteel and weapon parts, maybe some Pond Water from Venus.
