Volume Control (KEEP BUMPING UNTIL WE GET AN ANSWER)

One of the first things things I did when I was 5 minutes into a story mission on September 9th was hit the pause button and head to the options menu. You see, the loud music was drowning out the rest of the game sounds. No biggie, I said to myself, this happens all the time when I fire up a video game for the first time. Getting the right balance of in-game music, dialogue, and sound FX is just part of the process these days since we all tend to have different speaker set-ups and preferences. After I couldn't find a sound option in the menu my first thought was, "I'm missing something." A google search later and my thought was, "how is it even possible that a game like this shipped without volume controls." Assuming a patch would come within days to fix such a glaring oversight I went on with playing the game getting increasingly frustrated as I went. My frustration peaked when I ran my first strike with friends and none of us could hear each other over the insanely loud music. Party chat helped the issue (slightly) but after countless updates and understandable cries from the community for more complicated additions like additional PVE content, better matchmaking, etc, I truly don't understand how something so simple that would please so many people still hasn't been added. I've seen plenty of posts about this but they tend to disappear quickly without so much as a peep from Bungie. Would someone, anyone, tell me how or why a feature that exists in not only every next-gen game I can think of but also in most casual mobile games, was left out of Destiny? I know people use the phrase, "there is no excuse for... (fill in the blank)" a lot around here but there is TRULY no excuse for this. It's something that could be added by one employee over the course of one day. I'm asking the entire community to keep bumping this thread until this basic function, that is available in freakin Candy Crush, be added to one of the most expensive games every produced.
