  • Your analogies are off. Let's try this again. if you went to a nice restaurant and ordered a steak dinner, and they told you it'd be $60-70, fine. Then they bring it without any sides or garnishes and tell you if you want any of that, it'd be $35 more. For the same $100 I am expected to pay on destiny, I could buy 2-3 box set TV series that would give me the same amount of hours of entertainment, but I would also be able to watch them over and over for the rest of my life, or the life of my Dvd/Bluray. Destiny will last as long as the servers do, then they will shut down forever. Then the disc will be good for nothing but a coaster. Going to a movie for 2 with snacks $40. Yes. Not $100. I go to the movies knowing full well that this will be the case. Not expecting $40, then they tell me to actually watch the FULL movie, I'll be required to pay more before it's finished. Tank of gas. $40 in my gas tank will get me about 2 weeks of driving. In the real world. To partake in the real world where I will be able to communicate with people, not just using dance moves or pointing. $100, like the total amount required for Destiny, will go a lot longer. Milk Bread and Protein. Yes. $50 will get me a good amount of these, and sustain my family. When I go to the store, I know how much of each of these I will get, and know the value of each. I am not buying a sealed cardboard box at the grocery store where they're TELLING ME that inside will be the milk, bread and Protein., then when I buy it I find out that there actually ISN'T any protein inside. I know what I'm buying. Ordering PPV for $60. When you order an event, and they tell you that you'll receive ____, _____, and _____, you get it, and if not, you can get a refund. They don't tell you that to complete ____, ____, and _____ you will have to pay an additional fee. You want a better analogy? Here's a better one. I'll use one of your Money saving tips. Destiny is like a porn site. They promise you that you can enjoy their content for free, just an inital signup low cost. Then after a month, suddenly they're charging you a ton more. "But, you said that I could enjoy it for ____price." "Yes, just the initial bare bones experience. To get our FULL EXPERIENCE, you need to pay ___more" So, do you pay it? Well.. you liked what they offered, but they're already telling you that you have to pay more. How much more will they charge you? Maybe, instead, you'll just go to a new site, one that hasn't broken it's word to you yet. Is there any guarantee this new site won't break it's word? No. But there are hundreds of sites out there. Get it?
