So the majority of us have gotten to the last light levels available in Destiny. Many of us have wondered how they will raise the level cap. What will happen to the gear I have? Does it really matter getting to level 30 currently? The question go on and on. So I'm here to try to give a guess of how they will go about this. So you've hit level 29-30 and your wondering what will happen when the level cap gets risen. Well before explaining that lets discuss how they will raise the level and with what increments. This is extremely hard to say, since no clue has been given, but if I had to guess it will go in increments of 5-10 levels. And this is why I think... Because it's just a guess tbh, again just to early to tell on the subject. But how will they do so? So whether you are light level 21-30 you are still level 20. The highest light level is 10 which gets you to level "30". So why go backwards? Why should bungle raise the level cap to 25-30 with 10 more light levels? My answer is they won't... They would have to reconfigure your current armor to zero out the light level so you would be level 20 again with just some better stats. However, people would complain about this so I don't see them doing that. So good news, your gear stays the same. So how are they going to raise the level cap? They are not! They will simply come out with new light armor to help raise your light armor level which ultimately gives you a higher level. It's sorta a cheap way of doing it imo because your still level 20 with just a higher light level, you take that light armor and guess what ... only 20. So hopefully I am wrong tbh, but I don't see them raising the level cap and making you completely restart your light level. This would have been possible if they didn't introduce the light level at all. So does getting to level 30 right now matter? Mostly no, unless you want a slight advantage in raid/iron banner. Will max level ever matter with current content? Again unless you want a slight advantage in raid/iron banner, then no. So what do you think?
