Golden Gun Buff Required
Golden gun is extremely underpowered, especially considering that hunter is the damager/ mob control class. Golden gun obviously to be doing the major damage. However, golden gun only does 2.5ish thousand damage against low level enemies withing range when the icebreaker does 6.5K. I'd like to know why Bungie thinks that my SUPER should do less damage than my sniper with unlimited ammo... As far as I can currently see, in pve, i should never even use my golden gun. I think that golden gun needs to do at least 10K damage per shot when you're max rank to be worth while and warrent anyone playing GG Hunter. Please leave any opinions and explain.
EDIT1: Guys, seriously, why do you think I'm talking about Pvp? That would be a whole new thread. Lemme just throw it out there in simple terms that everyone can understand.

EDIT 2: I have no clue as to why, but almost everyone is referencing Bladedancer. I'm not sure why as I never said anything about it. Welp, go ahead and be irrelevant if you please, but i'm telling you right now, this thread's purpose isn't to compare who's better than who. I made it to bring attention to GG's pathetic DMG output.

I think the golden gun is fine but I do hate the fact its damage isn't buffed with times vengeance in the Vault of Glass Atheon fight. My grenade gets the buff so why does the golden gun not get the buff?

YES. It needs a massive damage buff so than almost anything in PvE is a one-hit kill. It should do as much damage as the icebreaker with the times vengeance modifier from the VoG.

Are you high or just plain stupid? The GG is OP as is and you want to buff it? You my friend are so god damn dense that even Paris Hilton called me up to tell me what a nincompoop you are. In case you haven't yet realised my intellectually challenged comrade there is no difference of weapons or abilities in PVP/PVE. Next time you have a thought, raise your hand and wait to be called upon by an adult or better yet just let it go.

2 RepliesI agree trenteg, as a Hunter with both subclasses maxed out, any high level PVE stuff, our specials are a joke. In the Raid, I am useful, because I know how to move (Relic Holder) and have some devasting Void based weapons. It is sad, that during the crit time to attack Atheon, my void sniper does 12,223+ per crit shot and my Golden Gun does 4300+ per shot if lucky. Deej, please talk with the devs about buffing up Golden Gun in PVE. This would be the easiet to do, because GG is already a one hit kill in PVP, and therefore wouldn't unbalance things.

14 RepliesI think a way to buff the golden gun is to allow it to hit crit damage - then massive damage could be done with some skill. I would think that it would be fairly simple to put into effect and it wouldn't mess with PVP balance.

Agreed! I have a character for each class and by far feel the least helpful in raids, strikes etc... when it gets time to use my Hunter Also agree he is great in PvP and a buff should only apply to PvE. The critical hit multiplier that a lot of people are suggesting is a great idea.

GG is a one hit in pvp anyway why not super buff the damage output like the first shot on a single target does 1.5x the next 2.5x the third 3.5x ect

Hunter Ulti in general for pve is underpowered both BD and GG need a pve fix... i have maxed both and tryed many ways to do both, and they are both nothing compared to my warlock ulti's, which is sad because i love the hunter class

2 RepliesTotally, I lead raids and I rarely take hunters unless they are my irl friend. They bring so little to the team in hard mode. I would like to see a pve damage buff for golden gun.

2 RepliesThe Hunter is the best class online regardless, and Hunter's get more kills with their supers compared to Warlock and Titan anyway online in PVP. No buff needed online what so eve for blade dancer or golden gun. In PVE I agree the super's arent so good probably the worst infact out of all classes, but I suppose its a trade of for having such good supers online!

11 RepliesGG needs buff for DMG. Blade dancer needs slight buff for DMG and survivability. Of course I'm talking PVE. Calm down PVPers Hunters are suppose to be glass cannons. High DMG output and lower durability. So far it feels glass without the cannon. I want to be legend so make it that way. Why nerf guns when you should buff the others to make people considering the swap to a different weapon. Nerfs should stay in PVP where balancing is required. PVE should be holy crap look at the awesome weapon I found. I'm rocking these vex.

Imo.. Class Roles. Hunter: Trash clearing. elite mob killings. Infinite Orbs. In raid: Oracle and monitor killers. Warlock: Boss DMG and mob clearing. In Raid: insta-res duh. Shield holder Titan: bubble time. Weapons of light for great focus DMG. Helm of saint + bubble = CC trap In raid: same shit as stated above.
