We need Raid Marks

I've run the VoG 13 times (on three characters). I've had 2 armor drops. One for my Warlock, one for my hunter. Let me break that down: Warlock: 6 runs = Gauntlets Titan: 4 runs = nothing Hunter: 3 runs = Gauntlets Its getting a bit disheartening to run the Vault and walk away with zero progression made. I had two straight weeks of 3 runs each week and no armor. My Warlock has five consecutive runs without an armor drop. There needs to be a way to mitigate the lack of armor drops in a worst case scenario for players. You've done it with the Strike playlist with Vanguard Marks. You've done it with the Crucible with Crucible Marks. Add a system in place to give a character a minimal amount of Raid Marks after each successful run. That way a character can buy armor if they get unlucky for more than a month or so.

  • I feel like it would make more sense to do this later when more content is out and the level cap is raised(hopefully). You could have gear exclusive to extremely difficult raids/strikes in the game for the hardcore players and the lower tier for the less hardcore players. The lower tier would still allow you to meet minimal requirements for extremely difficult content but wouldn't possess as many perks or armor as the raid pieces. This lower tier would be earned by getting marks and completing difficult challenges close to exotic bounties. The higher tier of gear would be earned exclusively through hard mode. If they were to add higher levels to the raid and strikes that would be even better. If something like a weekly raid with the same kinds of modifiers and whatnot in nightfall was added that would present a great challenge. Exotic and raid gear drop rates would increase and also remove energy and shards as rewards(excluding chests). These new absurdly difficult raids could also have exclusive gear that could raise your level even higher. This would present a worthy challenge to level 30s who are bored. It would also allow 29s to have a better chance at raid gear if they dare to attempt the new difficulty. Getting this new powerful gear wouldn't just mean levels though. As you get higher you can unlock the next raid, new strikes, and even greater difficulty levels. I know the chance of something like this is slim to none but i can always hope. Better raid and strike mechanics would also be cool because let's be honest, the first raid is as hard as the first dungeon in an mmo if not easier. Sorry for long post
