So i've just watched that video again. You know the one i'm talking about ;). (i won't post it for the 58th time) And you know what, i have some things to say about Bungie as a company, rather than the typical guff about DLC/Suros Regime/Desticles ect, and i'm going to direct it to the gamers here: The "mission statement" of Bungie undoubtedly reads nothing like what it did during the Halo/Marathon glory days, in my opinion. It is not the same company we think of it as. You can no longer think of Bungie as the amazing company that brought us the true magic and excellence of Halo, because so many of the key people responsible for that magic and excellence have left the company. Probably because of this gutting of Destiny, but while that is speculation, the following is not: What is left is a shitty husk of a game development company now set to churn out watered down games aimed at 12 year old's and others with equivalent needs from their gaming experience. For max profit and sales figures bragging rights, probably. They, like DICE and others, now make the Candy Crush equivalent of FPS shooters. Every one has to win.[b] "This is why the Ironbanner was a LIE"[/b]. The publishers, are money-men. That is all they care about. While Bungie contractually have creative control, it only takes one higher up in Bungie to stop caring about games and start caring about profit, and then this is what we get. I blame one if not all the owners of Bungie to succumbing to greed and/or pride. Or pressure from stockholder greed. [b]A true MMOFPS will come to us, but it won't be from these guys. [/b]Not until their 10 year Activision contract runs through to completion at least.
