To all the people saying this game has the worst RNG well I don't know if anyone here played ME3 Multiplayer but yeah the rng was awful on the game sometimes you could buy the best pack in the game and get loads of ammo multipliers but it was still a good game so yeah but i don't know whats worse, the worst player in your game getting a exotic or me3 having a 40 long platinum run and getting ammo at the end hmmm.
By the way I loved me3 just the RNG I didn't likee

Gotta love those premium disappointment packs. Lol

I only played mp in ME3 to get the Platinum Trophy. It was surprisingly fun even though it felt tacked on. A full-title concentrating on a co-op/mmo ME would be excellent. Hopefully those rumors are true.

i played the me3 beta so much. bought the game played the story through 2 times. i think they had the beta open for a month, was the only thing i played in that time.
-
ME3 was awesome. But (don't say I'm a basher I like RNG even tho I hate it sometimes) ME3 multiplayer was like a little part of the game, this game is all multiplayer
-
Atleast their objectives were random also.

Mass Effect vet here. Just wantedto say that I agree the RNG was frustrating, but I'd be willing to go through it again if they came out with a next gen trilogy.
-
Oh look! My 3085th human engineer character card! At least I get xp for my level 20 engineer right!?
-
I got bored of firefight over and over and over. Fun for a month though
-
That was just the multiplayer mode for an already great game. If it were released standalone for 60 bucks then you'd have Destiny.
-
Mass effect veteran here. They should really play mass effect so they can learn what a true game looks like
-
So true. Here at least we have the option to pick armor that is a direct upgrade instead of rolling packs and hoping we get lucky.
-
Yup, I spent 800 hours fighting RNG to max all my ultra rare guns, some people are over 1k and not done yet. Everyone who thinks Destiny RNG is the worst should really play ME3 multiplayer. Wait until you spend millions of credits just to get given a bunch of level 4 ammo upgrades and no actual weapons.

I played a lot of ME3 co-op. Really redeemed that final game. Miss it sometimes. Here's hoping the next iteration builds upon that foundation. Some of the classes, like the Turian Sentinel, were a lot of fun to master. Got a bit tired of people spawn-nuking and lag effects like the Banshee magnet hands after a while, though. The RNG wasn't great in that game with regard to ultra-rares, but unlocks were tiered, so within dozens of hours, you probably had access to most stuff at some basic level. Everyone had a few items or characters that eluded them for some crazy amount of time, but you were also unlocking new stuff to try on a regular basis that changed up the game. I definitely prefer that system to Destiny, which is far more miserly in doling out rewards, considering there isn't much content, and it's more repetitive. Right now, I think Destiny asks too much for unlocks relative to the content that's actually there; Strikes, Patrol and Crucible all play out more or less precisely the same each time. The random variety from ME3 kept it fresher longer.

I only played enough multiplayer to get the points I needed to beat the single player game. I did somewhat enjoy it though, mostly because it was a verse other people game but team up with others to beat waves of enemies.

Edited by Silverhawk: 10/25/2014 11:18:48 PMME3's MP RNG was designed to push micros. It was pretty -blam!-ing shady. Thankfully the SP was mostly free of such bullshit. Other than the...you know....ending. That one hurt. This should be under off topic or gaming, though.
-
I was far from pleased with the ending for that game, but the first 30 hours and the multiplayer really hooked me in, and I'm speaking as someone who had never played multiplayer up to that point. Destiny has the same kind of team play in strikes and such, but I don't get the same good feels I got from ME3's mp. Yes, the rng was hid-E-ous, but the mechanics of gameplay was spot on as far as I'm concerned. I think Destiny will take up as much of my time as ME3 did, especially if the post-release support is as good. PvP in this game, I have no time for, so extra maps, characters, modes etc would be appreciated in PvE. tldr: loved ME3 multiplayer, would love new content in PvE, rng equally grindy.

ME3? Sorry what's that now? I've retconned that game from memory

Yep, me3's rng was horrible
-
RNG loot is just horrible...
-
Who plays ME3 for its MultifailMicrotransactionplayer feature ...
-
No one cares about the Multiplayer in ME3
-
I loved all the mass effects, liked ME1's layout the best though.

RNG was only for multiplayer in ME3
