How is Xur a problem
Complaining about Xur is like complaining about toilet paper that wipes your ass to good Xur isn't the problem it's everyone who's butthole is throbbing from people having the same crap as you get over it

Wrote this on other threads about Xur. To the whiners, Who think you can only Earn Exotics. "So when you are done "Earning" your Exotic weapons from the Six known bounties, How else do you "Earn" Exotic weapons? Not counting VM. Super Good Advice Bad Juju Thorn Fate of all Fools Invective Pocket Infinity So these are the only "Earned" Exotics. So please tell me how you are suppose to "Earn" the other 15 Exotic weapons in the game? You "Earned" a Suros Regime by playing like crap in PvP or AFKing? You "Earned" an Ice Breaker from doing the Weekly Nightfall? You "Earned" Hard Light from Opening a Chest in the Labyrinth? Your "Earned" a Monte Carlo on your first Dust Palace strike? All that's is "Earned", Because you didn't buy them from xur, Am I right? But if you play weekly strike on lvl28 on 2 character each week that's not "Earned" coins. So that makes whatever Exotic Xur is selling completely worthless". This week I "Earned" A Suros Regime from soloing the weekly nightfall (Cheesed it btw), Did a second Nightfall got a Plan C (also Cheesed). Came in third place in a PvP this week and got a Truth Rocket Launcher.

A lot of people complain because Noob player #3790 has same Exotic item as them, and they got it on Week #2 via a Random Loot Drop. Now, a lot of people fail to understand that while Xur sold the Icebreaker, the Suros, Truth, Gallahjorn & Red Death, YOU CAN ONLY EQUIP ONE AT A TIME! So I fail to see what the big deal is. Yes, you got a decent Auto Rifle and a great Sniper, but you can't use both at the same time! Also, I'm glad Xur is in the game because without him, I would never have 80% of the things I have, because RNGeesus has not been kind to me.

5 RepliesI wouldn't have worded it the way you did, but more or less you are right about the fact with people being over sensitive about Xur selling exotics (like the Suros Regime). The "New and Improved" Iron Banner (where according to DeeJ the will now be a more dramatic difference in level and gear's effectiveness) is coming up, and since the game's launch more and more players have gotten high tier weapons such as the Vex Mythoclast, Universal Remote, Atheons Epilogue, etc etc etc. With Xur it will give other players who are having rotten luck with the game's RNG system a fighting chance in the Iron Banner (which now people will have a better reason for signing up on it since it will have gear that can get you to level 30). There will be an increase of variety in exotic gear coming to us in the near future, its just silly to get all butt hurt over the fact that almost everyone now has a Suros Regime. But hey, this is just my opinion here.

I still don't understand the Xur hate. I've bought exotics, gotten drops and done three exo bounties. All the weapons are earned from my opinion from hours playing a pretty good game in need of some fixes. I guess if I were immature I could relate to being mad about how someone got a weapon it took me a long time to randomly earn. If you got an exotic by killing a dreg or coming into a strike right b4 the boss dies are you giving it back cause it wasn't earned the right way? didn't think so.

Im sorry but completing the nightfall or raid and getting an exotic randomly is not earning it. Its random and no different to shooting into a cave for engrams. No negative or hate responses to this please, I welcome a good response from someone who disagrees but please be respectful.

10 RepliesPeople don't like xur. Due to the fact you can buy exotics, instead of earning them randomly through a random loot system. If it wasn't for xur more people would have quit the game by now. The algorithm for destiny rng is godawful. My friend for example. 110 hours. 1 legendary weapon. He got it through ranking up a faction. Now thanks to xur he has an exotic. People cry too much because they want to be special. I'm also from the older generation. Started with wolfenstien/doom/warcraft. Now I do agree on the prices of items. No way a sparrow upgrade should cost more then exotic gear. The prices should go up some.

3 RepliesPeople crying about Xur are a joke, don't even take them serious. How can someone crying over Xur justify anything? You have to work towards getting strange coins by doing the weekly/nightfall or other activities in the game. That is a hell of alot more work then just casually killing a lvl 2 dreg here and there and getting a lucky engram. People got it ass backwards.

I personally think he should sell bounties. Then it wouldn't just be an easy gun. He's currently just handing away the best items in the game for a week of work. Not to mention he's flooded PvP with Suros Regimes.

There should be tiers of exotics and Xür should sell the weaker exotics and the better ones are earned through extremely difficult hidden challenges, say complete all achievements/trophies and get something really powerful

The only reason Xur will sell the same item multiple times is to allow everyone a chance to get them. It's not like we're dealing with raid gear.

My problem with Xur is that he makes exotics easy to get, which defeats the entire purpose of exotics. Exotics are supposed to be the absolute pinnacle of Destiny's loot and having a vendor that sells exotics goes against everything that exotics are supposed to be. Now if Xur sold a specific list of exotics that were separate from the exotics that can be obtained through normal gameplay, that would be fine too. Bungie wanted our armor and weapons to tell a story of what we've been through as players in the Destiny universe. Unfortunately, the story behind everyone's items seems to boil down to "I bought them from Xur."

4 RepliesTheres two sides to the Xur hate. PvPers and the Snowflakes. PvPers hate Xur because he will flood PvP with awesome weapons. Then the CoD players (who will be leaving soon) will whine and moan about being killed by this ever so popular weapon that everyone seems to have. They will cry Nerf amd Bungie will bemd over backwards, thus runining the weapon. The Snowflakes are the ones who feel like they earned it because RNG decided to give them the jackpot. They get this grand idea that they must be the greatest player in the whole world and because of this, was granted this amazing weapon. Even though they may have gotten their exotic from being last in crucible or killing a level 12 dreg who dropped a legendary and it became an exotic, they earned it! Struting around the tower, showing off and flexing their stuff, they see someone else wearing the same gear. Like a teenage girl, they get upset and angry that another player had the nerve to have the same exotic as them.

Primarily because it's usually the same inventory, an upgraded sparrow costs more than what it should and generally not always offering one item per main class. Be nice to have some armor to buy for my class specifically when I have the coins for it..

Xur should only sell engrams , to be honest it's bungies fault they don't have enuff exotic variety and legendary variety and styles of weapons and armor in the game! There should be hundreds ... We're not all the same so why should we all look and feel the same

because some people"earn" their exotics thru random drops. and its not fair to them cause they have to use bugs like the motes or strange coins to hack a good piece of gear. if only their was a way to accumulate virtual " hard work" into a currency for exotics or something.

Its the "build your own legend" bullshit that Bungie lied to everyone about. Xur should, at the very most, sell his own exclusive set of exotics, and not a single thing you can get in actual gameplay. Now, the legend that eveyone is building goes something like "oh, I was unlucky when rolling, so I bought all the best shit from Xur. Now I'm gonna preemptively bitch at those who will undoubtedly make fu of me and call me a scrub for doing it." Sorry, but not every kid should get a trophy. Its the same reason I think its stupid that you can go 2-20 in the crucible and get the best rocket launcher in the game. The No Child Left Behind credo is killing competitive... everything. In the next destiny they should just start all the scrubs out at level 30 and give them every exotic in the game. You know... to keep casual players interested... pffffffff HAHAHA
