Petition for trading

Yes, I want trading

No, I don't want trading

Two options there, no cop out. Either you want it or you don't There are a few advantages to trading and a few disadvantages: Advantages: (Short list) *People who have too much of a gear can trade it for a gear that they do not have (or perhaps for upgrade materials). *You could potentially make it so that 'bad luck' with drops is no longer a major issue, but instead hard work can become more valuable. *People could help each other out. Disadvantages: *Item duplication-I always get this response whenever I talk about why trading should be in the game. Yes, if the coders make a mistake, there is a risk of item duplication. HOWEVER, there are already people who are duplicating items even without trading. If the coders don't make any mistakes, duping will not be an issue. *People will have less reason to PvP/Raid because they would be able to trade for the items that they want. *Weaker players could get help from stronger friends and get forced into a position where they are stronger faster-However, this can already be done to a certain extent. *Younger players might get scammed-A legitimate concern and honestly the only real disadvantage. This could be somewhat mitigated with some form of intermediary being used (for example, a player from each player's friend list that has to approve of the trade so that two people have to be tricked. Though this could make some trading difficult depending on the time of day and a person's friends list. As an option for those situations, there might be 'Trusted' players who could act as a intermediary instead of a friends list or perhaps a forced equality trade (exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, 1 upgraded with ascendant for 1 upgraded with ascendant, 1 item for 1 item, etc.) if there is no intermediary). *Possibility of RMT. Honestly, I haven't seen this as an issue in games like BL2, BL, etc. I somehow doubt that this would be as big of an issue as people expect due to how the system works. Unlike games such as Diablo 3, there is very little point of RMT and most of the good loot requires a lot of work to gain. === So my while I'm petitioning for trade to be added into the game period, I'm also going to propose an idea for trading: *Trading will allow for a maximum of 5 items assuming both players have the inventory space for the items. *Trading will be for equivalent items (same rarity and upgrade level). In this case, upgrade level would refer to the upgrade tier (un-upgraded, partially upgraded, ascendant materials used, fully upgraded). **The exception for the above will be if there is a player on each person's friends list to look over the trade and apply a second judgement to the trade or if there is a trusted intermediary such as a staff or a player designated by the staff as trustworthy. This is to minimize scamming. *Each account will be able to trade up to 5 items per day. (either in one trade or in 5 trades). This would count both items received and items sent and would look at whichever one reaches 5 first. This would be to limit abuse and give time to observe any issues that may occur. *As a potential thought, make it so that until a character on the account has reached level 15, the player cannot trade-essentially, unlocking subclasses and unlocking trading would happen at the same time. *Another potential thought: Make price ranges so that even with lesser trades, there must be some form of equivalent exchange. This could be done with an item value system (for example: exotic might be valued at 30 strange coins, legendary might be valued at 25, rare might be 5, uncommon at 1, common at 0.1. This way, you need to trade the same value so say 1 exotic might trade for 1 legendary and 50 spiritblooms. These values could then have a certain leeway, maybe 20% so an item worth say 30 strange coins could go for as high as 36 and as low as 25 (since 24 + 20% is 28~29).)
