Ascendant Shard issue
So I've seen some people that say obtaining Ascendant Shards is a difficult task. So
I've thought of an idea that could possibly help!
[u]Ascendant Fragments[/u]
Every time you dismantle a Rare (blue) item there is a 50% chance to obtain an [b]Ascendant Fragment[/b]. You need 10 fragments in order to combine them into either a shard or energy (depending on what you've been dismantling).
I feel that this could benefit those that aren't blessed by RNGesus with Legendaries, those who aren't skilled enough to get the best gear, or those that simply don't have the time to farm shards.
Obviously the % chance can change if it becomes too easy to get shards.
What do you all think?

Edited by The Lone K1ller: 10/23/2014 7:44:48 PMI think it is a good idea but I am not sure that the Destiny development team would add it because you can go into VoG and get a load of shards. Your idea though would be amazing for the casual player who does not want to raid every week or even for players who are just having bad luck with ascendant materials. How it can be is that once you have obtained the ascendant fragments you have the option to convert them to energies or shards at the speaker. Also instead of a 50 percent chance it would be more beneficial at a 35 percent chance and you need 5 fragments to make an energy or shard.

That or they just add energies/shards to the possible drop list for dismantling blues but a very low % 1-5% chance for example
