Defective digital copy of Destiny

I have had this issue since day one and have been tolerating it for a long time. But it's becoming ridiculous. I bought the digital copy off of the Xbox store for the benefit of getting Destiny on the Xbox One for free whenever i obtain one. After downloading and installing the very first patch that came out my game froze after trying to load the bounty menu in the Tower, it then removed me from the game world and logged me off of Destiny. After pressing A on the start up menu it gave me the error that it could not validate my game and that a re-install of Destiny had to be done. I had to download and install the game several times and i finally got it to log me in after deleting the game and the patches as well as clearing the system cache on the hard drive. Now the game is playable but it takes an even longer time to load anything and will sometimes crash after downloading a new patch. Weapons and in-game models don't show up for several minutes and the game has to load after every section of the world. The rest of my games on my hard drive run perfectly fine except for Destiny. Bungie if you can assist me in any way you can it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Since this has been an issue across multiple installs it is most likely a hardware issue. If part of your hard drive is malfunctioning then it is possible that previously installed games will work fine (since they are on a functioning part of the hard drive) but newly installed games that would be placed in the malfunctioning area of the drive.
