RAID GEAR DROPS ARE BROKEN - FIX THE SYSTEM ..!
Ight check this out guys - I write to you on the behalf of our entire clan that has questions about the raid loot system ..!
I have ran the raid 10+ times and have 20+ clan members that have similar stats. When you run through and complete the raid sometimes the loot system drops good stuff and then there’s most of the time; where it drops nothing or gives everything to a single player (leaving others in the bitter cold). - we have seen this as a group several times where one player receieves the bulk of rewards for the teams hard work - what's up w/ that anyway ..?
I thought the more times you ran the raid the better stuff you got not to mention the duplicate drops we constantly get jeezle; come on guys why do I need the same stuff over and over when I still do not have everything for level 30 yet ..? Sure I appreciate the ability to shard and energy out things but that’s what dailies, and strikes are for right – why do I play the raid to get the same amount of ascendant materials I can get in a few days of regular play .. huh ..?
I love completing the raid and playing w/ my buds (we tear it up ..!) but make it worth our time, I have a career, family, and things to do - MAKE IT WORTH OUR TIME ..! I alone put 90 dollars into this game / DLC and if you haven’t noticed the economy isn't that great ... where’s our bang for our BUCK ..!
Example (last night - 10/22/14 VOG) We have a player (newer clan member) that completed the raid for the second or third time the other night and now has everything to be level 30 (full gear, several weapons) which is badass for him - way to go but … he has all raid gear (ALL OF IT ..!). He isn’t the MVP of the raid and still got all of this dropped to him from the raid, he plays well and consistent but is still learning the mechanics.
On the other hand, looking at my situation that reflects several of my clan mates (equaled to their frustration), I have double the time spent in the game (200 hrs +) than the new member and have more raid completions by 7 or better and have less gear and weapons. Bungie you got some splaining to do to your players ..!

1 ReplyI think it's fine. I've got all three classes at level thirty. It only took one hard raid with my hunter to get three pieces including boots. For my Titan it took one normal run and one hard run. The warlock took a few more tries than that though.

I have done the raid on both my warlocks every week and the only piece of gear that isn't dropped for me is the boots. Everyone else is getting all their gear why am I not. Played the normal mode last night and one of the guys got ghallahorn universal remote chest gloves and boots. The rest of us just got ascendent materials. Luck of the draw my eye. It's bullcrap.

2 RepliesI'm going to refer you to http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/lottery. Please check numbers 2 & 3. You're whining about "rewards", but there aren't rewards guaranteed in the VoG. They're random chance lotteries. You're guaranteed rewards on lots of stuff, so go play those if you want to be certain to get something in exchange for your "hard work". Personally I hope Bungie patches the game so that people who whine about not finding random stuff get through the VoG and can only ever get a troll face icon that breaks down to nothing for ever and ever and ever.

1 Replyvery frustrating. i hear ya. I wish they would put in something that would check to see if you already have Chatterwhite shader and remove that from your drop list as to not take up a spot that could be better filled by something else.

1 ReplyRun the raid 19 times on normal and hard between 3 characters (3 diffrent classes), my Titan and hunter are just one armor piece from 30! Warlock is still stuck with nothing. But hey I'm just having fun running raids.

1 ReplyI ran a friend of mine through last week and he had none of the armor at the end he had all of the peices and ive done the raid every week since it released and still cant get the boots so no lvl 30 for me cause i cant even replace the boots with an exotic cause there aint none.

Bang for your buck? You have 196 hours played. Even at $90, how can you complain? Drops are working well for me, got all 4 pieces in 3 runs.

Nothing is broken. This is how RNG works. Sometimes you're the window, sometimes you're the bug.

2 RepliesThe first time I did the raid, I got nothing but shards and chatterwhite. The last time I did it, I got the boots, Praedyths Fall, Atheons Epilogue, and Red Death(from a chest). Sometime Rngesus smiles on us, sometimes he doesn't.

How is it broken? There's no reason that you should be getting drops every time you run an event. If people kept getting drops than there would be a billion posts saying the game is too easy blah blah blah.

This is how raids work. The best thing Bungie could do it is to put the loot into a pool and everyone rolls for the items. This would allow members who have a piece of gear already to pass on the item; thus, allowing other members of the same class to get what they need.

I've run it 25 times. 3 mythoclasts and doubles of all raid gear except hands. . I never have seen hands drop

1 ReplyTo the people saying "rng will rng", this is not a good reason to keep the current broken system. In roughly 8 raids (nm/hm) my friend has only received boots and guns. I know people who have nothing but shards & energy. I've been in raids where people get the same items while other people get nothing. Bungie's VoG loot system is pure garbage. There are better ways to distribute loot and tons of examples in other games. For starters, raid armor should be unique. I shouldn't be able to get a 2nd chest piece in a raid when my friend doesn't have one. The system should prioritize people with fewer raid pieces. Blizzard, Square, etc have all realized a pure rng system is garbage so why did Bungie think "hey we'll do a rng system regardless it's been proven that it sucks and no one likes it"? Hubris? I got my last raid armor I needed last night and I have pretty much everything including the vex mythoclast. I'm bringing this up because I want my friends to keep playing since we can't use MM for the raid (another wtf).
