My friend and I are arguing over this and I figure a poll is the best way to settle this.

Edited by HoochiePapa93: 10/22/2014 12:19:32 AMIf anything I'd say it's a geosynchronous orbit because the black outline kind of "traps" the "moon" in the same position relative to Earth. In other words if that moon is over the Atlantic then it will always be over the Atlantic. I think that is what they are literally referring to in dead orbit, as in the orbit is literally dead where by the moon no longer orbits around the planet but orbits with its rotation instead (geosynchronous orbit...yeah yeah yeah i get it, it still counts as an orbit). It can be interpreted to be a 7 but Destiny doesn't like seven, it likes multiples of three. If it is a 7 perhaps that is alluding to the idea that the faction is a bunch of "non-conformists". Another point for this argument is that the faction is found in a hanger in a corner "hidden" between storage containers. Furthermore the faction is also portrayed in an emo-esque/goth style of clothing which is commonly associated with non-conformity (thanks South Park). Also notice it is an Awoken who represents the faction. From the campaign we know the Awoken do not meddle in the affairs of Earth and the Traveler and have chosen a life of "self-exile" instead. So if it is in fact a 7 I think this logo is saying "We refuse to follow you in the name of a lost cause". What is that lost cause? maybe they know something about the traveler we dont... who knows?
