The best part of doing the raid for me has been carrying 5 lvl 28s through the lvl 26 raid, and then dropping them at the atheon checkpoint knowing they won't be able to finish without me.
Every. single time I've met a group on there they have been high schoolers bragging that they're smoking weed, making me get 200+ kills at each checkpoint while they barely manage to get 50.
THIS is why matchmaking shouldn't be a thing, but it's also a problem.. because if matchmaking could work, meaning I'd be able to count on random people having an IQ of at least 75, it would be a great way to both meet people and feel accomplished utilizing rudimentary FPS strategies..but we all know that will never happen.

We are not all pot smoking teenagers

Almost every person I have met on lfg has been pretty nice actually. Doing the raid on hard can be stressful but almost everyone said we got this guys at the end of a round.

so what you want is an IQ test when everyone starts up the game?

From the sound of your situation, yeah i feel for you - i mean i finally ran it last night for the 2nd time - first time the whole group knew and understood i had never done it before, so they "held my hand" - dont get me wrong I did exactly what they told meto do and what was expected of me - the raid went off without a hitch The 2nd time, The group knew I had only run it once but the training wheels were taken off - i had full control of where I went and what I did, I made a few mistakes but we still beat it without too much hassle and I def learned ALOT more this round than i did the first - The point im trying to make is that yes, you can find great groups - honestly, just start asking their age right away and get a feel for it - kick em from the group before you start if you think theyll cause trouble - but dont give up - both times ive used it for VoG I have gotten wonderful groups with awesome players

Do you know how hard I had to fight myself not to choose the last option for the trolololz?! Anyway. There are some decent folk out there. Keep on looking and you'll find em. Props for the backpacking duties though.
