Drop rates in the VoG need to change...

Loot should stay the same.

I am all for random loot, in fact it is hands down one of my favorite elements in some of my favorite games; but when you go through a games raid, its hardest content, for four weeks in a row and all you receive are building materials and an aesthetic item (that you get every time) there is a problem. Now I am sure people will come on here and talk about all the luck they have had with the raid and how they got their 3 armor pieces in one run; that's great and I am actually happy for you, you have fantastic luck. The thing is though, most of us haven't, most us have seen nothing but ascendent shards/energy as our drop every single boss and chest; while I am normally not one to complain it is now becoming frustrating and leaves me in a position where I am losing interest in doing the raid at all. Is it so much to ask that we are guaranteed one raid item for clearing all four bosses? Obviously "beating" the raid while only defeating Atheon shouldn't count; but those of us who have finished either the normal or hard all the way through should receive something aside from a chatterwhite pat on the back and "better luck next time." Considering the number of items available from the raid it would still take multiple runs through to get everything, and there would be no guarantee you wouldn't just keep receiving the same items; but it would give us incentive to run both the in game gauntlet as well as the ever frustrating task of trying to find a party, dealing with people who don't understand what they are doing, or the endless number of raid droppers who leave after dying twice. Finally for those of you who think that it is currently fine, I have to ask how is it that you can justify weekly Nightfall strikes (which are easily solo'd, require significantly less coordination, and typically take a quarter of the time to complete) having a nearly guaranteed legendary/exotic (yes I understand people some times get coins, but this seems to be far less frequent than an item and are still more useful than a metric ton of ascendant material) when the raid doesn't? If either drop rates do not change or we don't receive some sort of completion reward that is worth a damn I fear that players are going to simply stop playing the raid; which will then in turn make finding a party even harder. Who else believes this is an issue?

    i say lower the rate. too much people have VEX now. i know i ddn't earn mine. i only finished HVOG once and i got Helm,boots,Vex,VOC,and ship. too much rewards.
