I'm sick and tired of all these players who bought their ice breakers from xur. I earned mine fair and square and I think if I see a guardian on patrol, or in PvP I should be able to kill them, take their gear and shard it. Survival of the fittest am I right? There would be major benefits of this system being put in place, 1. Destiny would have a higher replayability 2. It would make destiny more realistic Also people who earned their gear wouldn't lose it upon death. I'm not worried though because I've had my ice breaker longer, and know how to use it better than you buying scumbags.
