Warlocks are the weakest class: do not play warlock (due to ARMOUR PERKS)

[b]When you start playing Destiny, your best bet is to make titan or hunter. Warlocks always end up weaker, [u]because the armor available to them is nowhere near as good[/u] as what other classes can equip.[/b] * For example, take the chest slot. My co-op buddy bought the [url=http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/The_Armamentarium]Armamentarium[/url] titan chest armor from Xur at the weekend. This is clearly the most overpowered piece of gear in the game, and anyone can have it because Xur sells it: - Have TWO GRENADES!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Carry MORE ROCKETS!! - Carry countless extra sniper or shotgun rounds [b]Why don't warlocks have anything like that? Nothing for that class comes even close. This makes the game severely unbalanced. Players who make a titan character instead of a warlock character have a substantial advantage in every situation.[/b] * Another obvious example is the boot slot. Why the lack of exotic boots for the lock class? [b][url=http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2hv5xl/here_are_all_the_exotic_armor_pieces_sorted_by/]Exotic boots are available for all classes, -- but not for warlocks![/url][/b] Why? This results in less armour choice for warlocks and a net lack of perks obtained from armour. Titans get exotic boots. Hunters get exotic boots. Warlocks were overlooked. Bungie clearly put a lot of thought into titans and hunters, but self-evidently overlooked warlocks resulting in numerous disadvantages and oversights facing the class which all need to be addressed at some point. I have checked all available armor for each class. It's confirmed: warlocks have the worst gear. I don't mind there being great armor for other classes. What I do mind is that there is nothing that comes close for locks. Destiny was supposed to be a game in which one class does not have an advantage over the others. That is not the case, mainly due to unbalanced gear. Forget the negligible 1% buff or nerf that Bungie applies to weapons.to improve balance. Look at the huge difference between gear available to different classes. I dearly hope Xur has [url=http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Voidfang_Vestments]Voidfang Vestments[/url] again this weekend. I didn't have enough coins for it the previous week, after buying Ice Breaker. I genuinely needed to buy IB when it was sold, because [url=http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/73153066/0/0]having played every day since day 1 I have literally never had any legendary or exotic weapon drops -- not even one[/url]! By comparison, my co-op buddy plays the same games as I do but and gets so much gear he has to shard it to clear space in his vault. Players who get drops don't know how lucky they are. When they switch weapons they are upgrading three weapons as they play. I have to waste kills on upgraded weapons until I save to buy a weapon from Xur or a Vendor. My co-op buddy doesn't usually buy charity handout gear from Xur, because he doesn't have to due to always getting drops, but I really do need it. EDIT:[b] This is a post about the imbalance of GEAR between classes. Nascent class balance is a more complex issue beyond the scope of this thread. [/b]However, the classes are well balanced in this game. If that were not so Bungie would have addressed that before the minor weapon balancing that we are seeing.

    Armamentium is useless if you have raid gear since perks don't stack. Only extra grenade counts and sunsingers have that built in. Also obsidian mind and heart of praxic fire are top 5 out of all exotic armors.

    • U realize that the warlock is more of a tank than a Titan? U have to damage, DAMAGE some one to get extra shields while the Titan has to KILL to receive the same benefits, the warlock has a long range AOE super while the Titan and hunter have to get close, and plus he can SELF REVIVE and spam grenades, yeah the warlock is [i]SOOO[/i] under powered....

      • Youre not really looking all that hard are you? Most of the hunters exotics are either found on weapons or in the skill tree itself, or are just plain not that great. Axiom bolts chain further, you are now forced to use that grenade, tripmines last longer, pretty much useless, zoom with gg, useless, move faster while aiming, not great, radar stays active while ADS, you can find that on weapons, turn invisible when taking melee damage is very situational, longer blade dancer charge, already a skill tree perk, gain an extra GG shot is the only truly good, unique perk.

      • Warlocks are hands down the best pvp class. Void walker has a badass super and a powerful melee w crazy range and it even has blink. Sunsingers has fusion grenades(sometimes two) really strong melee, radiant skin and self revive. And in pvp in my opinion SUNSINGERS warlock is the most essential class to a good raid group after defender titan

        • My warlock has two grenades and two melee charges. I melee fast as hell, replenish super energy when I hit someone with a grenade and I can carry more ammo for all my weapons (primary, secondary and heavy.) I think I'm pretty well set lol

          Lol warlocks are the weakest did you ever think maybe you just suck? Edit: I do think its bull though that warlocks have such crappy exotics like come on Titans get exotics that give the subclass perks that's not far..... But I guess they had to make the warlocks less cool somehow.

          • Youve got to be trolling. The sunsinger gets 2 grenades in his subclass unlocks. I can pair that with claws kf ahamkara and run around double flame punching shit and slinging grenades like its my -blam!-in job. Obsidian mind- Nova bomb charges nova bomb. Ive literally jumped, thrown my nova bomb, killed a bunch enemies, and landed with ANOTHER FULLY CHARGED NOVA BOMB READY TO GO. Heart of praxic fire allows you to get grenades and melees charged faster than you can use them. While radiance is active Voidfang is also very useful. An extra seeker is beast. So please tell me again how we have crappy armor. Also the armor, recovery, and agility ratings arw easilu adjusted by just moving some perks around.

              • You sir are retarded. Warlock is best class by far and i play all 3. Most of warlocks damage potential comes from grenades and supers. Esp voidwalker with 100% super recharge and obsidian mind. I bet my warlock is better than any of your characters.

              • Warlocks don't have exotic boots because there isn't a need for them. Do warlocks have anything like shoulder charge? No. Are they a class built around moving as fast as possible? No. Their jump prevents them from getting an extra jump from their boots because its a glide. Boots for a warlock wouldn't really be "exotic" because there isn't any perk that would make it stand out. Titans get the Armamentarium, and that's fine because titans are the only class that don't get the option to hold a second throw-able object. Titans are also considered a "tank" class. So isn't it fitting they get some shotgun/heavy ammo? BUNGiE builds warlock gear that helps the warlock shine. They don't try to make warlocks something they're not. They aren't tanks, and they aren't Speedy Gonzalez.

              • Every class in the game is beast in their own way. I have all 3 and I have no favorite. I love my Hunter in crucible, blade dance a whole team while having the regen health per kill perk and invisibility, also love the Titan provide weapons of light when needed and shoulder charger the crap out of people in crucible and I love the warlock too, love the self resurrection it's dope for raid. Don't use it in crucible though I always go with Void Walker it's a bit deadlier to me if the whole team capping a zone and u got obsidian mind one. I don't think no one sucks or are bad. Just gotta know how to use each class in their own way.

                • Obsidian mind can instantly reset your CD if you kill 7-8 enemies. Claws give 2 melee (2 shields from scorch or 2 energy drain which is also 2 extra grenades and a free 20% of your super). Voidfang has served me very well in the past. It's not nearly as bad as you make it
