Shotguns nerf PvP
I think its impossible du take shotguns out of PvP but maybe a nerf can force people to use other weapons

Edited by Ebonyjackal: 10/21/2014 9:33:39 AMOnce again I've pitched this idea out there but yes, shotguns may not be 'op', but with the only maps aside from the moon being medium to close quarter combat, it excels in numerous firefights. Yeah they already nerfed it, but barely! It just means they have to run closer for that one shot kill. Which most of the time when you're running around a corner and a Titan is already running and sliding towards you, there's not much you can do. It's close quarters, unless you're using a fusion rifle or another shotgun, you can't beat a one shot kill. So the idea is simple. Limit the ammo capacity during pvp. Limit the frequency of ammo spawns like the heavies. It's a SPECIAL secondary. NOT a PRIMARY. It shouldn't be able to be used as a primary. Any game on earth, no matter what game, any secondary or third weapon is usually a lot 'weaker', mean to be a 'go to weapon' for emergencies.

1 ReplyHere's how to sole shotgunners. Be a Sunsinger. Wear Voidfang Vestimants. Equip Gift of the Sun and Fusion grenades. Throw fusion grenade at Shotgunner as she/he runs up. Jump to safety and watch explosion if possible, if not die knowing that shotgunner will join you in death soon enough. Get ten more points then shotgunner for grenade kill. Respawn with grenades. Rinse. Repeat. Win.

5 RepliesHow's about taking the radar out of PvP or at least make it so if you are running you don't show but if you're camping a corner with a shotty, rocket launcher or lmg they show. Radar is what really is hurting crucible BC you got those professional radar scanners. Radar takes the skill out of PvP just a bit same with shot guns IMO. BTW my Vex should not be out gunned by a shot gun in medium range, thank you cod kids.

Shotguns have already been nerfed. They got nerfed with the auto rifles and the Vex Mythoclast. Just keep your distance against a shotgun user and don't take blind corners hauling ass. It sucks that you have to strategize just for one particular weapon. But it's working as intended. If you're close to a shotgun blast, you'll go down. But their damage has been nerfed at range by a 20% drop off.
