The blink sometimes doesn't trigger or has a late activation. Like I jump over a gap and press x but it doesn't work until you are about to die. Fix this, and extra distance or bigger "jump" wouldn't be bad also...

One of the many reasons I use double jump as a Hunter instead of blink. Plus I find blink too predictable in PvP. I can guess where someone is going to blink to most of the time, so I assume the same is true for my opponents when I'm blinking.

there is a brief cooldown between the first and second blink then a longer cooldown after the second if you are blinking in quick succession. The only problem is the lack of mobility and control after the blink and that there seems to be an after image after the blink that retains a hit box during the blink in for a brief period of time after the blink.

As others have said it's probably the cool down. I disagree with many and believe it should stay. (PvP concerns)

Blink has sort of a hidden cooldown, it's like a bar that starts at full, and every blink uses half of it, then it continuously(?) recharges. I agree that this is incredibly annoying. Blink is already hard enough to use, and while it is very advantageous, limiting it's basic function as a mobility tool is very hindering. Bungie has a long to-do list, but I hope removing this cooldown is added in somewhere.

Thet should also let you control the direction that you move. Like you jump forward then you can blink backwards.
