They're changing it from 3 Furthest to 3 Randoms.
Vote if you like it or not.
Hopefully they'll hear our opinions.

Woah.

Baka bungie. Today my non hand cannon use friend got the last word, now he's a hand cannon user. Me on the other hand, thorn, lord but I've really been wanting, you guessed it. The last word.

The whole point of not having matchmaking was because you need to have a group of people you 'know' and can talk to. To organise your team and assign roles for everyone. To beat it, you must all know your role. Now it's random, they might as well add matchmaking. Awful idea.
-
I don't understand how a company who has been so tightly ingrained with the competitive standard can just add random elements to a game, and somehow think that's a positive change.
-
Its like they are really trying at this point to tank the game. I mean really trying trying. God I hate to use WoW as a example....but jesus even those asshole dev's wouldn't have done something this stupid.

Can you imagine being match made into a group only to find out at the last boss no one knows how to use the relic? LMAO. So much for matchmaking raids.
-
It's a great idea. Scrubs should get good or stop raiding.

Edited by MysticJon: 10/18/2014 1:06:10 AMI'm in favor of this change. It would make the fight against Atheon more challenging and quite frankly, more fun. It would force everyone to know all possible roles, so that they can adapt and help the fireteam as needed. As the Raid is right now, my friends and I breeze right through it. An added level of challenge is welcome in our eyes. And to those saying that this would remove strategy from the Atheon fight, you are incorrect. If anything, this change would require more strategy. Instead of planning your strategy ahead of time, you would now need to strategize on the fly, which as I've said, would require even more teamwork and communication than the current method. And I don't care what group of players is playing the Raid, if anyone can't figure out how to use the Relic, that's their problem. It's not that hard. Sure, you may die a few times getting the hang of it, but if you can't figure it out, then you can't beat the Raid. Simple as that.
-
It was always intended to be random from what Bungie are saying. I do not want to play a Raid with a group of people who are assigning roles and dictating shit. If i want that I'll go play LoL.
-
I love it keeps you on your toes, after beating the raid like clockwork it becomes a weekly choir, you guys need some spice in your life :-)

Saint Rosa
Disappointing teammates since '94 - old
I don't like the idea. -
And no one bothered to ask where those words came from? Really?

Terrible idea. Even if the whole team is experienced with the shield and the mechanics of the whole encounter, this is still going to totally mess up the rhythm that a team gets into. The fight feels great when everyone knows their role and sticks to it, it just goes so smoothly when everyone does their job perfectly. Random teleporting is going to totally ruin the feel of the battle. I am also pretty pissed off by how determined Bungie are to ruin how we play. People came up with a legitimate strategy and they want to take it away for what reason? Because they suddenly decided that wasn't on their checklist of how we are allowed to have fun? Seriously if this goes thorugh then I'm done with Destiny, because weekly raid is all I really look forward to, so ruining it will make me play something else.
-
I don't like it. Eh. I made 3 warlocks because of the terrible rng system. I guess I would be fine with skipping atheon each run. I'd still be getting 9 pieces of gear a week.

Edited by Sylver: 10/18/2014 2:13:56 AMI've said it before and I'll say it again. Randomness in boss encounters will only lead to frustration making the encounter less fun than how it should be. Finding the right strategy to defeat a boss with your team is a great experience, which will be ruined by randomness. Haven't they learned anything about the whole engram randomness frustration? Bungie needs to think about what will be more enjoyable for the players, not just how they want their raids to be.

We just need three sunslingers to die before teleport and pop revive to stay home
-
Edited by MarcosaurusRex: 10/18/2014 1:59:00 AMBungie puts their own interests before their player base interest's. It's gonna be the death of them.
-
Until they fix the many other glitches that harm gameplay in the raid, I consider this a bad idea.
-
I honestly have no opinion as I am good on both sides (killing oracles and portal defense)
-
If they make it random, more people are just gonna end up going with the cheese method.
-
Will make raid weapons less useful as they might not get to go in portal where they would be much more useful. I think random is a bad idea
-
They're alienating the people who suck with the relics and it's gonna cause the little socializing this game has, to crash like the great depression. If you're not good with the relic, no one is gonna want you in the raid. Not many will adapt to this honestly and it'll cause players to move on to other games because they can't progress.
-
I really hope that's how it is.
-
that would suck if it was random
-
This isn't a small change. This will have huge impacts to defeating Atheon. I'm worried about new people being let into groups.
