Ammunition Perks

I have a Sniper Rifle with the Field Scout Perk and Armor with Additional Sniper Ammo. By default I can hold a total of 15 rounds. With the field scout perk, 24 rounds. That's a 60% increase. With my Armor, 19 rounds. That's about a 30% increase. Together that would be about a 90% increase in ammo, giving me 28 rounds. However, I am still stuck at 24 rounds. [b]Here is my question :[/b] When I brought my armor I thought these two values would stack, but they don't. Why is that ? It feels like the field scout perk cancels out the perk from my armor, making that perk on my armor completely useless.

  • Yeah, none of the perks stack. I have multiple pieces of gear with "faster melee" and it definitely doesn't stack.

    • Just as a note: Field Scout literally says [b][i]maximum ammo capacity[/i][/b]. Kind of makes sense it makes your ammo count the maximum it could be, right?

      I literally just spent hours researching/testing this in game because I have noticed some funky things when it comes to total ammo I can hold. All I can really say is pay attention to the numbers for each gun and armor that gives you more capacity for it. (72-109 default, 168-181 with mag upgrade.) 2 Running upgraded mag on my fusion rifle "Final Rest II" is a bad thing. (27-34 default clip, 25-31 with mag upgrade.) 3 I get one less bullet for my shotgun "Invective" when using Queen's Gaurd Robes instead of Voidfang Vestments. 4 "3" is not true for my shotgun "The Comedian." 5 The ammo increase is different for apparently every single weapon. 6 I have no idea how Bungie came up with values for ammo capacity (most of them are not full clips or even nice ratios unless the clip is really small.) 7 You can't copy pasta from excel neatly into these GUI's (sorry for the format.) 8 One can't really use "stacking" to describe using more than one ammo perk for the same gun, because it's not strict addition, (using boots and chest piece for my bad juju the bonuses are about 23% each and 46% together, for my rare pulse rifle the bonuses are 20.97% each, but together only 36.83%.)

    • It should have. "Unique passive". On it so people know that this secondary does not stack
