I still can't understand for the love of everything bacon why Bungie could not follow the PVP & PVE the way other MMO do like World of Warcraft for example. Why not make it so PVE weapons and gear are not effective in PVP and vise versa. it's really making the game hard to be balanced because take for example the Vex Mythoclast exotic, in the beginning before patch it was a powerful weapon but overly powerful in PVP now it has been super nerfed because of PVP but the PVE player now suffer because the weapon is weak in PVE now, same can be said for auto rifles. I mean they already setup a crucible vender and all so why can't those pieces of armor and weapons be PVP specific with more sets added later in the game. This is also a reason I shy away from PVP and why the Iron Banner was a complete failure. I know it's still early but I seriously hope some big changes are made in the future!
