A Light in the Dark bounty
Hello guys,
I one of the lucky guy who had the chance to get access to a bounty for an Exotic weapon, the Thorn.
I am actually stuck at the 3rd step of the bounty where I have to get 500 points at the Crucible by beating Gardians with Abyss damages.
As most of the players I don't have any Main weapon with any specific type of damages (abyss, fire, cyro). I know that it exist at least one legendray main weapon (Atheon something...) with has Abyss effect, but this one is rare and loot is too random for me to wait for this weapon before starting to complete thsi step of the bounty.
So I am actually trying with Fusion rifle and Shotguns, but since the last update, on the 14th, the damage have equilibrate and its much harder to kill or one shot someone with those weapons without dying after...
Do anyone as a good solution on how I should process ?
Any tips to get a main weapon with Abyss effect ?
Which way do you think I should play in PVP to kill with secondary weapons and not be killed too much ?

Yesterday eve Ive been playing PVP with Void sniper and Void machine gun, Im already at 274 points so it should make it!! :) Thanks again for your advices!!

Void shotgun Or, in my case, void fusion with the highest impact possible. Also as a defender my melee is void dmg and so is my sticky grenade. I had it kinda easy

Void Shotgun + Rumble = Profit. I wouldn't kill yourself trying to get a void primary. Also it's easy mode if you're a warlock with void walker.

I had a void sniper. Sat back and pick off. Little longer than jumping into combat but got me to xyon. Still working on that part

Tried all the other crucibles, ended up getting it in Skirmish which is 3v3. Used a void fusion rifle. Don't worry about dying a bit as you'll only lose 2 points, you get 5 from a kill. If you find you're getting killed too much just jump out and join a different game. I found if get frustrated if I died a lot and changing games helped

I did it with shotguns and heavy weapon machine gun. If shotguns gets you killed quickly try playing more low paced and strategically (like control). Also be sure to grab those heavy ammo and machine gun away from a safe distance.

1 ReplyGet a void machine gun and hang around heavy ammo spawn points. Easiest on control where you can patrol captured zones.

Take two friends into rumble and trade kills. Or camp like a bitch with a shot gun like I had to.

just get a fusion rifle and do it. should not take you to long i did it in a day or two and i suck at PvP

I used a fusion rifle and rocket launcher. I played clash and stayed near a group of people. Less chance of dying that way and if they start shooting and take down the shield of the opponent you can finish off with a one shot.

First of all its void, solar/fire, and arc second there is a fire primary scout rifle, void primary auto rifle, and arc handcannon also I did that by playing rumble with a void fusion rifle got it very quick

I did mine in about 10 games running rumble. (Free for all). Auto shotgun is your best bet. I would suggest leaving all larger maps and ONLY play the small ones. It is so frustrating dude... But trust me, rumble is the quickest way to do it

4 RepliesEdited by MillienDaes: 10/16/2014 1:24:45 PMHey man I just atheons epilogue the void primary the only way I know is to do a raid I'm actually pretty sure that's the only way Btw I'm in the middle of the same bounty and I just grabbed a blue shotty with void a rocket launcher with and obviously keep void walker on! also I feel like control is better due to people not looking to solely take your head off I have a maxed out dr nope it wrecks I had dudes ask me what weapon it was with that it wasn't hard I was a 27 almost 28 I felt like that hardest part is knowing what to do but someone in your party will be a pro I got in about 1,1/2hrs
